I like your videos, even though you and I approach the game from entirely different sides. You are passionate about it, and that is just good to watch, and sometimes you manage to convince me to branch into some small meta decisions.
"I want a man with a spear to be important." Yes! I'm a colour-blind hobbyist who collects a lot of different stuff too but Order Dice are why I play BA.
Thanks for the video, Bo! It is always nice to hear about someone's hobby journey. My path is very similar: rpgs, warhammer, napoleonics, acw, bolt action, and now I'm playing Age of Hannibal.
Bo, it’s a big world and there are a lot of people looking for an excuse to have a go, I believe, you have a much more positive impact than negative, keep up the good work, the bolt action community salutes you ……..
15:00 Thank you so much for this Video! Really Fun and Deep! 16:57 I was thinking playing 40k with Order Dice to make it a better Game. Kitbashing is so much fun. Bolt Action allows so much Creativity! And building Terrain!
Nice video Bo. I'm currently trying to start playing an old 15 mm war game but intending to use the bolt action game mechanic (order dice) Moral, weapons forces etc will all come from the original rules (None BA).
I think that if I didn't care about the modelling and painting to at least some extent I should just get into chess more, because no other game will have the competitive balance of chess. But I do like the spectacle of enacting battles between my little guys vs someone else's little guys, so I play wargames.
Thank you for posting this , it has made me think about why I play war games . I could never be comfortable with fantasy or futuristic based games but am impressed with the figures. Like you I have settled in bolt action because of the accessibility and flexibility of the rule set based around the dice.
Have you tried One Page Rules....Age of Fantasy (alternative to warhammer fantasy battle).....or their Grimdark rules as an alternative to 40k. ....both don't have massively over powered heros

Folk at my local club have done this. They call it Bolter Action.
Would love to see more content about your other historical minis and games!

1:28 Hahahahah YES! It's a great Gaming System!
Fordi modellene er fantastiske!
Asterix, Obelix and Getafix! Last year at historicon I played a great game with everyone from the village vs the romans. Great time

Spændende. Dejlig video, troede du var mere one-dimensional. Blood and Crowns for dine riddere, eller Saga Age of Chivalry, begge nye.
Have you tried Chain of Command?
not yet, but on my to-do-list

Does not saga fit your "ideal game" criteria? - medieval setting, finishes in 2 hours, quite balanced, not hero-hammery, can be played competetivly
@@josezdimera maybe, yeah.... Need to try it soon. Though it is a skirmish-scale game
Xenos Scum?!
