Community resilience rather than self sufficiency: very thoughtful approach.

Even better at around 35 - they also do syntropics!

I’ve been obsessed with Rancho Mastatal & sold my car so I can take their permaculture course in November. Fingers crossed that I’m lucky enough to get an apprenticeship too!!

I checked their schedule, pdc is only offered toward end of the year.. don't know why? Apprenticeship is whole year and it's 6-7 grand, sounds like a serious deal

Thanks for sharing this great video bro. My wife and I are building a small farm in Guanacaste. The soil is incredible and I can't wait to go completely off grid. Costa Rica is a special place for sure. Pura vida mae!

Awesome video! Love the back-and-forth on food and propogation! That is so valuable for your fellow gardeners!

I take the point on bamboo, but it really takes conscious management. Bamboo and relatives should be kept away from waterways since they love water and are so easy to propogate from nodes.
