Fluvial Beach of Mourão

Inaugurated on July 17, 2017, the Fluvial Beach of Mourão comes with the promise of a better and more dynamic Alentejo interior. Being the largest river beach of the Alqueva Dam promises fun, good times and a well spent day in the middle of nature.
This marvel is located in the municipality of Mourão, Évora district, right next to the border with Spain. In addition to all the natural beauty that this region has to offer us now appears more this point of interest. Another example of a good use of the "alqueva project", it is on the banks of this large reservoir that this infrastructure is installed. Counting with a total extension of 320 meters of sand is, until now, the largest river beach in Alqueva. An integral part of the beach now is the Merenda Park already built there previously. The connection between both infrastructures is made by a wooden walkway that further brighten the place.
