Wonderful mindset and season strategy by Garcia and her team. Keep working on it and as long as you are moving in that direction things will pay off. Also good life lesson. Congratulations to Garcia.
So, so happy for Sweet Caroline winning the years end top title!!! However, I love my Aryna Sabbie, too, and I was heartbroken seeing her sobbing on her chair when they dimmed the lights afterwards. Congratulations to both Aryna and Caroline on making the WTA finals Final.
Sabalenka did great on her 2nd serve and really reduced her number of double faults to a manageable number. She will definitely win something next year playing like she did against Iga and Caro this week.
How can you not love that French accent? And that gorgeous smile? So happy for Caro. Best decision for her to get another coach besides her father. Results have shown it.
After all those years on the tour, and with the winning hard game she plays, I'm happy all the worked paid off for Caro. One of the underrated talents on tour - til now. I've always thought she had the game to be a champion.
Murray said she was definitely gonna be world no.1 the first time he saw her play, more than 10 years ago when she was just 17. Although she hasn't yet become that and could possibly never be since right now Swiatek's so dominant, she proved that Murray had valid reasons for his claim.
I don't think she will. All year she's been saying that she doesn't take any win/title for granted, after the lows she's gone through. And it seems she's finally found clarity and full health. 2023 might be finally when she wins a Slam, which she's fully capable of. Shot for shot, she's really one of the best, most complete players on the tour.
