Only thing that really bugs me about iTunes movies is they charge you 4 times more to buy the movie than if you were buying it on blue ray disc and own it forever.
Yes for older movies they charge like its a new movie! but my recommendation is to wait for sales for older movies they have them for $4.99. New movies, specially theater movies, will be expense when first released but give it a month and they will be on sales as well. My strategy is pick and choose which ones i want at full price if i really want to see it and for the others wait for a sale.
@@davidponce6132 every Tuesday they have sales. Just check their 4.99 section and 6.99 section every tuesday. they have both new and old movies on sale and change it up every tuesday. The sales last for a week.
@David Ponce Are you in the uk? They do a refresh of the store every Monday.Currently there are some £2.99 deals every Thursday . Use cheap charts app and make a free account then make a wishlist. When the price on the movies on your wish list reduce you will get an email
Nice video! I only buy movies digitally via iTunes as I rent a small apartment and I don't have the space for physical copies. Another good thing about buying digitally is you never have to worry about it getting 'scratched' and broken.
If u buy a movie through ITunes will it play the movies through the Apple TV app and in terms of movies are u getting the same because I only buy my movie from the Apple TV store anyone know ?
What are your thoughts on the picture and audio quality vs a disc? I have been using Apple for years for music and only a couple years for movies and TV shows. I have a ton of stuff on Blu-ray and a few 4Ks and I have to say Apple looks really really close to me. Audio quality I don't think I can tell a difference either.
Physical media does have better sound since it has lossless sound. Video is fairly close. For streaming, imo itunes provides the best video quality and sound keeps getting better and better compared to the other streaming services.
I'm not a fan of digital everything, because everyone must have Internet at home. Without Internet no Movie-watching. Physical i can watch everytime offline.
Nothing beats figuring something out that’s been bothering you for ages. Couldn’t get my 4K remote to change the volume on my Soundbar and found a guy on RUclips like yourself so thanks a lot
@@richieace5492 That's one of the things I liked about Apple over Vudu. My parents can log into my account at their house and we can stream things at the same time on one account without booting each other. Vudu doesn't let you do that. So things I buy that my parents may want to watch, I can share with them.
Picture quality has come a long way for 4K streaming. Itunes provides the best stream versus other services. Audio has been improved as well but its not lossless. With Digital being more and more popular there will be constantly more improvements. Looks and sounds great already
It depends on what movie you are using as an example. I have a few Blu-rays that are very grainy and the picture quality is better because it's not as compressed and has room to breathe. Others which are less grainy and those which are captured digitally I see very little difference. Audio I don't think there is much difference either. There's really nothing you're getting with lossless that isn't in DD/DD+.
I had one removed but it was added back. I think they probably were replacing the sound or upgrading it. No issues at all with iTunes. That’s a good idea about discounted and pointing out good deals! Thanks for watching 😎
@@richieace5492 Do you think its worth getting the apple tv 4k , i can get apple tv app through my Sony TV but you can't purchase movies through that app but instead through iTunes on a laptop .... Any other features worth getting apple 4k for .
@@joshdimovski4483 I recommend Apple TV 4K specially if you are already part of the Apple ecosystem. Some benefits is streaming movies on Itunes has the better bitrate and picture quality than any other app. Other features include Airplay to cast your phone or iPad, easy nice interface and all apps available, and Siri works great in quickly searching movies and playing them. The only con is the price, considering there is other devices like Fire TV. I own both apple tv and fire tv and prefer apple tv but fire tv is a cheap alternative.
@@richieace5492 Thanks, I ended up buying the apple 4k yesterday, so far very nice , love the iTunes movies store and the nice remote . Ive only got forest gump and last action hero in my collection so far , waiting for the good deals 👍😉😎
Not all movies are upgraded for free. I have plenty that haven’t been upgraded. And the Nvidia shield pro beats the Apple TV 4K hands down, as well as letting you run the Apple TV app on an android device. I’m not knocking Apple, as I’m in the ecosystem with plenty of other devices. But the Apple TV box is just not worth it just for the interface.
Only movies purchased on itunes (or itunes codes) will upgrade but of ciurse there must be a 4K version avaiable. Apple TV 4K has great streaming quality. Havent tested a Nvidia Shield but i know that is considered best android box.

I bought some movies on my Apple TV app on my MacBook in HD. The picture quality is grainy. I now collect physical disk because it’s not compressed!
It depends on the movie. But iTunes has made big upgrades in picture quality with 4k. It’s a lot better now than a few years ago

Disc is superior picture quality n sound since streaming is compressed n picture too
What are your thoughts on physical has better sound quality?
Physical media does have better sound since it has lossless sound. Video is fairly close. For streaming, imo itunes provides the best video quality and sound keeps getting better and better compared to the other streaming services.
What if a new part comes-out? Do you receive that? E.g. Dune part 1 is out but part 2 will come-out this November.
Physical media does have better sound. Digital has made improvements however
I'm not a fan of digital everything, because everyone must have Internet at home. Without Internet no Movie-watching. Physical i can watch everytime offline.
Yeah that’s true. I love digital but I also have physical media.
The problem is that everything you buy is you can’t download it to your hard drive. It means what you buy, apple still owns it.
Can anyone tell me about the 4.99$ movie deals when does it update is it weekly or monthly or what i need help ❤
iTunes has weekly sales $4.99. Here in the US it updates every Tuesday and they last a week. Also around holidays they have more sales as well
Hello, how can I save the purchased movies from Apple TV in Photos on my iPhone or on my computer?
Of course not
I don’t think my Apple TV upgrades to 4K because inception doesn’t look good in 4k
if you are using an old code from the early days of digital codes, apple doesnt upgrade those codes. DVD codes also dont get upgraded.
Yeh I have figured it all out now.
Swipe down whilst watching the movie.
Just sold all my
Blu-ray and DVDs.
iTunes should’ve been the option

2100 movies is over 14 years of consecutively played content just in case anyone else was wondering.
lol nicely put. Let’s just say I haven’t seen all the movies. I share my collection with family and friends and some movies are theirs.

Arent you concerened that your movies might be edited or removed from your library like most streaming services do?
Does Apple lie about movies being in 4K? Like I see spiderman (2002) says 4k but it’s pretty old and I don’t think there is a 4k version
Apple doesn’t like about 4k. There is a spiderman 4k version. There was a 4k trilogy released
iTunes is cool and all but it doesn’t beat a disc for picture and audio quality
