    The great thing about Mexico is, No matter how touristy a city is, how many immigrants from all over the world live here, Mexico has always preserves its culture because it's huge and all people who come here they embrace it, they don't try to change it, and that's fascinating!! you'll see Mexico even in the most touristy cities!!

    San Miguel de Allende, where the cobblestone streets are so charming that even the potholes apologize for inconveniencing your horse-drawn carriage. It's a place where time seems to have taken a siesta, and the buildings, painted in more colors than a kindergarten art class, compete to be the most Instagrammable backdrop for your awkward travel selfies. The town square is like a perpetual carnival, where street vendors sell everything from churros to hand-woven llama-shaped hats, ensuring that your taste buds and fashion sense will both leave with unforgettable memories. If you've ever wondered what it's like to live in a postcard, San Miguel de Allende is the answer. And don't be surprised if the locals invite you to join their impromptu mariachi band; here, serenading strangers is just a Tuesday afternoon hobby. So, pack your sense of adventure and your most festive sombrero, because in San Miguel de Allende, even the stray dogs have a flair for dramatic entrances. Welcome to the town where every street corner is a stage, and you're the lead actor in a comedy of errors set against a backdrop of vibrant colors and perpetual fiesta vibes. Nice video, Gabriel Traveler!

    Always great to run into new people and go to places you didn't plan to go and see.... Love Mexico.... I need to get there one day.... I noticed Gabe, you speak a lot of Spanish there. Do the locals speak any English?..... Safe Travels...

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  5 лет назад +1

      The English is really sporadic. Depends a lot on where you are. In the more touristy places the workers at hotels, restaurants, etc. will often speak English. Off the tourist trail it isn't that common. In that case speaking some Spanish can be crucial.

    hi Gab, would you pls tell us how do you overcome on jet lag after frequently flights ?

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  5 лет назад +3

      I don't have much to offer on that. It usually messes me up pretty bad for a few days as well. I just try to get to sleep at a normal hour, but usually I can't sleep or else wake up in the middle of the night and it takes some time to adjust to the new timezone.

    San Miguel has beautiful views nice to chill I like the cathedral but I think Guanajuato City is more beautiful, also Taxco, Morelia, San Cristobal de las casas etc

      Raul Aguirre As a Mexican, I completely agree. Add, Guadalajara, historial Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi, so many more cities better than San Miguel. San Miguel is a small dusty town made popular by travelers and U.S & Canadian immigrants, but thats it in my opinion.

    San Miguel de Allende is beautiful but I like Taxco more. Taxco is like Guanajuato but all houses are white.

    Great video 😎 San Miguel is nice, but not the most beautiful city in Mexico, also is not really many tourist attractions over there, perhaps nice place to live. Eveery city in Mexico has amazing areas and different options for tourists, I don't understand why some people need to name one as the most beautiful. Morelia, Guanajuato, Merida etc... all beautiful 😄😄

      Todo México es HERMOSO, toooodo. Pero si, creo que San Miguel de Allende la han nombrado la ciudad "más bonita" debido a la gran cantidad de extranjeros que la han elegido para vivir, en su mayoría gringos y canadienses. En lo personal yo prefiero mil veces Guanajuato y digo Guanajuato porque desgraciadamente no conozco muchas partes de México, así que hablo en cuanto a lo que conozco.

    Gabriel, any thoughts on long term cost of living for a retired American couple...could we live comfortably with $2000/month ?
    We are also looking at Colombia and Ecuador...and other cities around Mexico.
    We are not big spenders and both speak Spanish. Thx !

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos

      Yes you could definitely live in Mexico on that budget, especially if you rented an apartment long term.
