Lots of great memories of seeing movies there with friends. My mom used to go there to tan and she'd give me 5 bucks to keep me busy in the arcade. Glenbrook mall was always more popular but I preferred Southtown. Thanks for the vid!
I remember Circus World had a barrel outside their doors filled to the top with G.I. Joes :) At a pricey $3.29 each, I managed to land all the dreadnoks at once lol
I worked at the last retail anchor store there, Sears, from 1997-2000. Towards the tail end there were barely any shops left in the place. Still it was kind of fun to run around the empty halls.
I used to hang out at this mall and worked there as well. I remember the stores there so good to see that southtown mall will not be forgotten thanks for doing this
Always so depressing seeing the mall just empty in any of the videos or pics i see :( I remember back in the early to mid 80's Southtown was always busy and a fun place to go visit with my mom. Even during the week, it was always active.
Fort Wayne, Indiana mall I miss dearly :)
I miss this mall I live in Bluffton

I went digging for anything I could find. I adored ST over GB. I watched Interview with a Vampire there.
Who ever did this, THANK YOU!
I made this video from all the stock footage I could find. All I have are the numerous memories now.
miss this mall. Wish they would tear down wal-mart and rebuild it the same way.
Same :') Cassette singles to the ceiling
Even though I never went or saw this mall my dad always tells me stories about this place. Really sad.

WELCOME BACK :')
Some random photos are in the film... for stores I can no longer get photos for. There's a disclaimer for the shots at 2:36 :)
Malls are important for more than commerce. Thanks to everybody that ever worked here.

Not far from the arcade.
