3DPack is so hopelessly complicated , I couldn't even get past the installation stage. Even with the pre-installed portable version and comfy manager it's a maze to find and install all the missing nodes

Why on earth would you need 16k? That's much too big and unpractical for a texture map. That's even too big for a texture atlas!
