Judy Carne's rendition of "The Ring Around The Rosie Rag" showcased her formidable talents as a singer and dancer.

Today is the day when i realize that i am going to buy vinyl copies of every Bobbie Gentry album that i can find. Starting with "Fancy" and probably ending with "Ode to Billie Joe". i think i'm in love with this woman now.

Bing Crosby was a legendary baritone pop crooner! He was a frequent guest host of THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE during its run on ABC.

Well, I'm glad this didn't end up being one of the shows blocked. It's impossible to predict which shows will be blocked and in which countries. So far, nothing has been blocked outside the U.S., Canada and Germany, although why Germany is in that list, I have no idea. At least one show is *only* blocked in Germany. Who knows!
    Glad you enjoyed the video.

Maestro Mitchell Ayers and the Hollywood Palace Orchestra did a great job backing Judy Carne's spirited vocal.

Thank you for posting these videos! I remember seeing the first airing of this show and sat in front of the TV recording it on an old Bell and Howell audio cassette recorder (still have the tape somewhere). There was a song at the end where Bobbie Gentry sang a song with the lyrics " and I wanna go home" or something like that so when I watch the whole hour will see if it's on here (I'm 99 percent sure but it could be another variety show she was on). So glad I lived to see technology improved to the point of watching old TV shows on demand, watching rare videos of singers like Morgana King, Lana Cantrell, Laura Nyro and Bobbie Gentry.

That duet Bing sings with Bobbie Gentry....the things a crooner had to sing in 1969 to keep popular!

The things a newcomer (Gentry) had to endure to reach a popular audience. At one point Crosby sings "Oklahoma River Bottom Band" instead of Okolona. Not really impressed he didn't get the lyric right.

Judy Carne, Bobbie Gentry, Eliizabeth Montgomery, Barbara Eden, Barbara Feldon, Dianna Rigg, etc, etc, gorgeous 60's women, who sit on my face in my dreams. Only modern female who compares is Shania Twain.

Much as I loved Crosby, he was clearly out of his element trying to keep up with the music of the late 60's on this show.

I agree on some songs, but I liked his duet with Bobbie Gentry on "Put a Little Love in Your Heart." Understated and avuncular. October 1969

Many of the songs I post on my music channels are blocked in Germany and nowhere else. They must have some strigent copyright laws there.

@HollywoodPalace I think the blocked episodes have to do with certain content by record companies in particular. Some companies are extremely sensitive on their material appearing anywhere without being paid for it and no matter how old it is are going to be like that, especially out of concerns allowing older stuff might also force them to allow more recent stuff that can be worth tens of millions to also appears and losing that income.

The question is, where did Stu Gilliam end up? Some of his material may have been.... questionable, yet the man had talent.
