Hi Ben, So starting from tomorrow is my first ever planned recovery week! I’m not stopping the S&C sessions tho as I think these sessions are critical to me atm. So here’s a big thank you to you Ben for providing structure at a time when we have all lost our structure! Keep up the great work and stay safe!

Thank you! It’s so good to hear from others going through this. As if training isn’t hard enough. Quarantine is finally getting to all of us. I really miss my running friends and the routine we had. It’s so sad to see our messages from February when we talked about planned runs and upcoming events and the times we would meet up and where ... I’m always glad for your take on things.

Maybe the uncertainty surrounding what Boris is going to say in the next hour played in to it too. I miss racing. With people. Just being involved. Cracking video again Ben. Your face 5 seconds in when you realised what you had said had me in stitches! I think it ties in well with your Infinite Game video from last week because it shows the "other" side of training and how it's not all about getting in the miles and how sometimes you need to take a step back to keep moving forwards. Keep up the good work

My mum drove through that ford many years ago and the car got stuck, some local yobs had moved the water level marker up so it looked like less water! Car was fine, years of laughter after! But Im not surprised its a favourite place as its such a beautiful village.
Ben, I don't know why you were concerned last week about how the Sunday vlog was going to turn out, it was great! Its nice to get a bit of an insight into how you both are coping as well. Keep up the great work mate. D

My coach had new in an extended recovery week ahead of my 4x4x48 David Goggins challenge starting on Friday. One more week of this and I'll be mental enough to do the thing!!
@@ThisMessyHappy Hahaha! You would LOVE David Goggins!! There is always a large mental component that goes into his endurance events. The 4 x 4 x 48 is a series of runs. Each run is for 4 miles and it is to be run every 4 hours for 48 hrs. Total of 48 miles. It does sound awful doesnt it!? And therein lies the appeal!!
I’m in recovery week now... it’s a new concept for me that I’ve previously paid lip service to. I haven’t had a deliberate week off in a year and a half but was kinda forced after I started a new training plan and was so drained I couldn’t finish session No 2!😂... I’m glad you’ve made this vid, it’s come at a great time.

Yeah, I think we’re all struggling to stay sane during this time. On days when I haven’t been able to go and work out, my mood has definitely taken a hit. My boyfriend can attest to that 🤣 so sorry you didn’t get your lattes, but hopefully soon!!

Yeah eating more chocolate and cakes lol I was really struggling a couple of weeks ago cause of my knee aswell not getting out, but feel much better now getting out plus the NFL draft helped to have something to do with sport what was live. Chin up mate the light at the end of tunnel is getting closer by the week!

Hey Whenever I run longer distances, my feet fell somehow asleep it’s very weird. I’ve already changed trainers so this ain’t the issue but I’d be pleased if you might have an idea what’s the problem and what I could change 👍🏻 Thanks anyway and also for your content and helpful tips
Ahah man recovery week. Welcome to the club. Those weeks need a lot of chocolate!!!! So recovery week doesn’t mean do nothing. Right? Thank started mine on Wednesday after running a 5k. By myself.
Well done, buddy. It sucks but I’m so excited to be out of it tomorrow. And yes, chocolate is an absolute must. I think you can do as little as you like on a recovery week in these times to be honest. I usually just cut volume by 50% and no intensity during base phase recovery weeks. As a treat I’m going up Alpe du Zwift tomorrow 😂

Did the 18k run this morning on the 12 week half marathon plan. Half marathon next Sunday 😊. I haven’t left the couch since 😂.
