Removing the lower arm is the hardest part of this. Should have made that part the clearest.
Yes, looking back I agree ☝️
right? I don't need to learn how to use a spray cleaner. Just how to get that arm off.
@@ivyjay1521sorry just seeing this, yeah that’s the hardest part, have to use a flathead screwdriver to pry the tab holding the arm in towards you while pulling up on spray arm, be careful not to break the tab
Yeah the rest is pretty obvious.
This is the EXACT machine in my apartment. Thanks for confirming I should just call maintenance. 😅
lol hope they don’t snap the release tab, I think it’s easy to do
Thankyou!! So much...
They definitely don't make this easy to remove. Just to clean the filter. Trying to figure out how to get mine removed so I can get it cleaned. Dishwasher looks like it's back from the '80s. Unfortunately have to figure out a different one It's close to this but it's different still.
Yes it’s tougher to remove the sprayer arm if you’ve never done it before. Much easier in newer models
I have that same exact dishwasher and I followed the steps and it’s still not draining. Do you have any advise on what I should do to drain and stop the smell?
In short term can press cancel and should drain - does it drain when do this?
would check first the drain hose for a blockage if you pull the grate up many times you may find broken glass and other items down there, old paper and food would cause a smell
THANK YOU!!!!
Glad this helped! Was one of my earlier videos
I can't get it popped off.@@BStride
@@jenritchie9101 the sprayer arm at the bottom? If so I take a flathead screwdriver 🪛 and insert it into the hole in back then pull screwdriver handle towards myself slowly as I lift up sprayer arm
Do I need disconnect the machine from power supply? because Its very hard to remove the machine from cabinet, I can’t remove it.
Hi, you do not need to unplug since you are not accessing any of the machines electronic components.
@@BStride ok thank you very much!
@@JamesWolfsbane I sure hope if you were trying to remove the dishwasher from it's cabinet that you disconnected the power supply.
What type of screwdriver is used to take out that screw? Thanks! Trying to get the arm off
I use a hex screwdriver to get off the screws holding the arm base down and a Phillips to carefully pop tab to remove arm
@@BStridewhat size hex screwdriver ?
I’ve learned that water should be sitting in drain to stop the seals from drying out, but what if it’s looking out of the drain and smells really bad. Is there kind of filter that can be pulled out and cleaned? I can’t find anything on what to do at this point
You mean in the back where there is water remaining? I would run a load with a small cup of vinegar on the top rack maybe to see if helps with the smell
@@BStrideI think he means when you take the plastic screen with the 2 nuts off....where do you clean out the possible blockage? I have the same question if you could help please.
@@donatocongialdi4811hi I don’t have this model anymore to make another video but would check first the drain hose for a blockage if you pull the grate up many times you may find broken glass and other items down there, old paper and food would cause a smell
Please how to fix the tab, i broke the tab 😢 is it replacable??? Please help
I’m sorry, yeah if the tab breaks and can’t hold down sprayer arm would need to replace base video here: ruclips.net/video/Mdl_zZ1Onmw/видео.htmlsi=crsswmYSwH9vdiH5

What size hex screwdriver please?
Don’t have this model anymore was the 4th or 5th down from largest hex in standard set I believe
Thanks for the reply
I can’t tell where you put the flat head screw driver
have to use a flathead screwdriver to pry the tab holding the arm in towards you while pulling up on spray arm, be careful not to break the tab. I put it in a hole in the back. And pull the screwdriver towards yourself
@@BStridethis explanation helped so much thank you omg
That tiny bit of residue doesn't look at all like it would make the dishwasher smelly, OR clog it up.
True, I’ve cleaned it before. Thing is when the heat interacts with that film build up it just seems to make the plates and dishes smell as well
Gosh I hate these cheap dishwashers! Wish you could have showed how to take the other rectangular filter or part off!!
The grate in the rear floor? It’s just held in by 2 or 3 screws
I followed this video and now my dishwasher is leaking onto the floor and I have no idea why. Any ideas?
Update: fixed it, but that little piece broke off 🫠

Hmm yeah if I could go back I would show how to remove the washer spinning hand it is held in by that clip
If that ball isn't there could that be the reason for standing water
That’s the dishwasher filter ball it should not affect the draining.
I can’t remove the top part
That’s the toughest part carefully reach the flathead or butter knife into the hole on back as in the video and bring the handle of flathead screwdriver towards you which essentially pushes the holding plastic tab towards the back of the dishwasher then you can pull up on the sprayer arm assembly while doing this
Careful with that tab when you remove the spray arm or return the filter. It breaks easily and I had to modify it to have something to hold the spray arm in place. Piece of $h17 engineering!
True I wish I still had this washer I would show the tab, and how to carefully bend to lift, it snaps easy!
How did you modify it to hold it in place ? Had this issue ?
@@daisymarie.did yours snap? And not holding the sprayer arm down?
@@daisymarie. just a bolt to hold it in place.
