I played around with this and it worked pretty well. I remember many years ago I even put certain colours in the dryer to get a coloured synthetic dubbing! Those days are long gone!

Fly tying SOS going out Davie! I'm in need of a new vice, I've been looking at the Regal, Stonfo, & the less expensive Anvil. Is the Regal worth the money??? I'm a believer in the saying "you get what you pay for! This would be of great help Davie. Cheers Emmet from Co Antrim
Hi Emmet, I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you, I have sent you a reply on the regal which is a very good vise and holds the hook as good as any vise out there... All the very best Davie..
Where did you get the light olive dye Davie? I've been trying to find the same but no luck. Veniards and Jacquard don't do it. Perhaps just a pinch of medium olive and a very quick dip in the dye pot?
Hi Slick Roode, I mix my own and what I do is add a little bit of medium olive to a yellow dye which will give you the light olive, you can also use a stronger yellow like sunburst which will give you a lovely colour..I would always do a little at a time to get the colour you want... All the very best Davie
Hi Labeilofest, The only company that I know that may have some would be Veniards they are a wholesale company so you would need to buy through a retailer if you don't have an account with them... All the very best Davie
Hi TheSPminnow Sluggo, I use many types of materials when blending my own dubbings hairs like rabbit, seals fur, SLF and flash like lite-brite, glister and ice-dub.. All the very best Davie..
