My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa. Paris (yes the one in France) has been my home for years now and I have every intention of staying here for as long as they'll have me. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much. Now I make videos about visiting Paris, traveling in Europe, and try to share what I've learned along the way. I hope you enjoyed what you found.

Have you thought of doing just a Paris In My Pocket channel. Put all of you paris vlogs also in there as well. I am not sure it can be done, but i think it would be be advantageous to you also. I enjoy both your info. I originally came in 2019 to Paris info, but have stayed for both you Paris info and your life and friends as well. Continued success!!!

Nice to see you back - we missed your daily updates! We came initially for advice on Paris but we stayed and have become fans of watching content on both.
We did feel towards the end of the daily vlog series that perhaps you were struggling for inspiration- but it certainly didn’t stop us from watching and enjoying 😊
We also love it when you get out of Paris …. A bit difficult given that’s what your channel is about but we love the London ones, your recent trip to La Rochelle - perhaps some trips around France could be another series to progress with :)

Really enjoyed the daily vlog reboot and will be happy whenever they happen again. Came to your channel very shortly before a trip to Paris. Pre-guide and not enough time to really benefit from all the information you had here at the time. I hope to return one day with much more knowledge and your guide on my phone. Ultimately, continued to be a viewer because of your daily vlog content. You upload just about when I get “ready” for work. Work from home getting ready routine is not much but made more enjoyable by watching your videos.

Hi Jay. I started following you on youtube the day you crossed Paris with Oliver Gee. Live broadcast, like 6 hours 😂. I enjoyed every vlog you made. It was a lot of work. I suggest a combination of vlogs, some about your personal views of life some about Paris life. Not much tourist info but real parissian life. Keep your good work. I purchased the Paris in my pocket guide when it was the pdf type.

I only started watching RUclips last year as a means to get info on specific topics like recent walking tours in a city I would soon be visiting which is how I stumbled upon your channel. The VADRO series was a success. It certainly held my interest, and you explored some interesting territory. You did well.
It seems that artists of all stripes wrestle with the issue of creativity. Ideally, all of us could access our creative source at will, turn it on and off like a spigot. That would require us to know where the creative impulse springs from and what sets it in motion. We try to discover its mystery and to make it a habit of mind. This can be done to some degree, as you have shown, by discipline, hard work and an intellectual process. But, something always remains hidden. Without that unknown, art would become mere formula. When something else comes along that sets the creative process in motion, it’s time to move on and take what you’ve learned into the next project. You can come back with a fresh set of eyes if you need to.
So, let’s see what’s going to happen next.

I really enjoyed your videos that showed the transformation from Chambre de bonne to cozy cloud chateau
You wouldn’t need much new video to edit together the story of that transformation using existing video

Tha Napster Madness is the was the reason I didn't download the guide at all. There is a reason why Google maps is available, without all the crap stores, supermarkets, fashion outlets, and brand stores that sell the same crap just maybe at lower price, and of course the high fashion brands that sell overpriced fashion, made by companies in sweatshops in China. (But you need be present when delivery comes)

Honestly, I can't see how you can live a life AND do a daily vlog. Recently after I watched a few of your videos, I went out and about and was thinking "Holy sheet... when someone vlogs their life, they're not just doing whatever they'd do, but they're taking along the camera, setting up the shot, doing 'takes,' etc, then taking all of that and editing it, etc etc." It's why I stopped "providing content" on RUclips and just post what I feel like, when I feel like it. Anyway.... can't blame you!

Loved the daily vlog…and then, loved the break…especially since, if my day is too full, and I can’t get to RUclips, I don’t feel horrible that I missed something, LOL! It all works out. I rarely go to Instagram..but will try to check when I need a Jay-day. I LOVE the deep Jay-shares, but I also LOVE the Paris info, the Paris-in-my-Pocket…and ANYthing French. I’m going on the Camino this summer..but, next year, it’s back to France, and Paris, and Provence…ergo, you’ve probably got a life Patron in me! Your content is ALWAYS worth the time!!! Thank you!!!
