He passed away when I was 9 and I spent my teenage years growing up with no men in my life. It was me, my Mom, 2 Sisters, and 2 Nieces. Once I was about 17, I found the garage could be my sanctuary. I'm 27 now and since then I've taught myself to work on things, tinker around, and build whatever comes to mind. Even got myself a cheap used welder from FB marketplace. I think there's advantages and disadvantages.
Size is the main disadvantage I have a couple of Stel machines the company that makes these for HTP in Italy, and even though my pro pulse or Iron Mig as it's called in Europe can do stick and DC tig, because I do a lot of mobile work I tend to use the Stel equivalent of the Inverarc 200 tlp.
Its so small and handy that it's just easier to grab it and go for Stick or DC tig.
But having the multi process there too is definitely helpful.
It probably depends on your use case. In a shop having one machine would be a nice setup.

Hey I’m a young student interested in welding and engineering, I came across your content recently and am loving it. With the welder I could push my knowledge further and help accomplish my goal of becoming a mechanical engineer. No matter the outcome of the giveaway I plan on saving up for a welder so I can learn myself and teach my younger brother. Keep up the great work! ❤️💪

Hello Tony, Jose from Puerto Rico. After watching this video, I subscribed to your channel. I'm 66 years old and just started to learn how to weld. This was something I've always wanted to learn, and it would be nice to have one of those machines you're giving away. It would sure beat the one I bought at Home Depot for 269 bucks to learn and practice. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the video and hopefully down the road I would love to educate myself more via a welding course I have on my sights. You have a relaxing way of teaching and I'm practically in the same boat as you, fixing stuff around the house. That new machine is very impressive indeed.

Welcome to the welding world Jose! As someone who is more or less a self taught welder, I highly recommend checking out the Welding Tips and Tricks RUclips channel. Jodi is a master welder and with his videos and plenty of practice, I was able to start welding professionally. It’s a great resource to help teach you everything you’d need to know to be able to weld up whatever project you decide to tackle!

Being the owner of a ESAB 205ic, MILLER 220 and now a HTP 2500. I can say the HTP is hands down the best and shines in every processes. They all have pros and cons but HTP has very few. ESAB 205 bests the Miller 220 by a decent margin. There’s a lot to compare with these and could elaborate more if needed. The Miller and Esab are both good welders, so not knocking anyone that owns one. However if I’m putting that much coin on the line, then I want the best option for my money.

After I post this comment, I will send this video to a friend. He is a very good welder. And by that I mean very good. He, like me, was born in the middle of the last century. I weld at a hobby level. I have consulted my friend about this type of "all in one" welding machine. He responded "rubbish" But a few months ago he admitted when he tested a mig weld with flush. That it was something I could buy when I was thinking of buying a new welder (mine is 40 years old) I am convinced that your video will make him look like this 😲❗So thank you "old" Tony it's the video made my day❗❗ ❗
