(But the SIR-models with constant recovery-rate are un-biological - constant transition-rate leads to exponential decay of the infected in the example-case where we turn off the infection-rate. That corresponds to an non-aging behaviour, just like radioactive decay, and biological systems definitely have ageing mechanisms everywhere...)
