In my wild D-D-D-Duel paladin I like to call to adventure 4 mana Nozdormu. It’s one of the best plays. Considering the meme status of the archetype you might as well make the high rolls even higher and do what your deck does best.

That gives your opponent 10 mana too, you know.
The whole point of duel is to cheat mana against an opponent before they can deal with it. If they have 10 mana, that's too late.

what's the point in a deck that cheats out big threats if you're just gonna ramp your opponent anyway?

@@GeekProdigyGuy but his argument is it messes up call to adventure right? But isn't the goal of the dragon to actually be played on turn 4 as well?
firebat maybe nozdormu to ramp into your big stuff? and call to adventure makes you more likely to grab it consistently

I run Noz and double blessed champion. You can have 16-30 damage on turn 5, if Noz sticks. Which will happen with redemption and apathy. Then just true silver/ashbringer to finish them off. No, it's not consistent, but i just concede if I queue into aggro or don't draw well. Quick painless games, and it feels damn good to OTK a priest with a 30 attack Nozdormu on turn 5.

Why not the 4 mana dragon that gives you 10 mana lol. I know its kinds bad but its a 1 of, and its niche usage with good stats, and goes with the decoy.

I like how this shows how busted the current meta is. "My deck that only works when it does this specific thing. Gets this specific thing..." Random meta deck still has several outs to kill you. It's not one deck, it's the whole meta. If you aren't doing something unfair as a deck you can't compete.

I always put in redemption. Even in rise of shadows. 1 mana 6/1 with divineshield. Or betteryet tiron or reborn.
Replacement for turaldon. I dont wanna craft. Its like u have to make a deck around turaldon or Uther of the Ebon Blade. It not like mage or hunter where everycard is 5stars

Let's get real Firebat, it was an hour and a half of Alura losing, not Vargoth
Alura is designed to pull out a specific spell, and you want a specific spell to pull out specific minions.
This is counterintuitive. You have to fill your deck with SOMETHING. And your choice is either spells or minions. So you're forced to dilute one pool or the other. I think she's objectively terrible in this deck archetype.
How exactly is Alura counterintuitive in this archetype? She can practically function is like a 2nd Vargoth to cheat out you big spells, who has been a staple in Duel Paladin. Even when you low roll with some of the lower end spells they can still you help you a lot in an aggro match up (i.e. Air Raid and Consecration). While hitting the high end of your deck with Duel or Commencement is potentially game winning, which makes me believe that she's very strong in a deck like this and I don't completely understand the point you tried to make in your original comment "Alura is designed to pull out a specific spell, and you want a specific spell to pull out specific minions." since to me at least, doesn't seem to be counterintuitive at all and makes a lot of sense considering the archetype. And again, even when you don't hit that specific spell, Allura will still help you out by keeping you alive.
That would be true if it wasn't a 4 mana 3/6. That's ok, not good enough to put in a deck, but if it has ANY positive effect on top of that, it's a good card. The high roll potential is just icing.

@@addamazeing well the thing is.. With allura you want specific spells in your deck so she can more reliable pull these out. So let's say you clear the deck of air raid and that other weak stuff. Then you have to do what? Fill the deck with early game minions that mess up your Duell and commencements which are the center piece of the deck? Hm.. If you put high value minions in to not weaken this center piece you will have games that either win by a landslide or fail every time you don't have allura + spell on turn5.. Plus the necessary cheap spell can still fck up your allura
First time watching and u seem awesome but u can’t play Alura with 10 cheap spells in ur deck and expect her to not play one of them 😂

Cause he's against Warrior, Air Raid is for alleviating early pressure from aggro decks.

I recently learned you can't rush Fighty Deathwing so you probably can't actually rush Duel-ists either. Edit: Oh but Turalyon kept Rush and got a second attack huh? I guess "They fight!" really is different from "attacks". GG Blizzard
