Can you please make an easy video for our husbands how to wash their daughters hair in the tub. With the do’s and don’ts and simple towel drying. ❤ I would immediately share this with all my friends with kids ❤
@@BlowoutProfessor Yes!!!!!!!!! I would love to see your tips for kids! I have 2 girls with two different hair types. One is really full, silky & never looks dirty. The other is thin and coarse and doesn't grow as fast. And by day 2, her hair already looks dirty. I would love your advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love that you’ve been recommending the same products for years. it makes me trust you so much more i feel like when people on yt are constantly changing products i can’t trust they’re not just always taking sponsorships but your list is almost fully memorized for me and i love that
Me too. I learned how to wash my here from him and. Took the test and now just buy his recommended products. I spend more on good products but don’t have a hundred cheap bottle in my bathroom. I used up the cheap shampoo on my dogs and cats and it works fine in them and they smell great. Good luck and God bless
Yes, I do scrub my dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. LOL Thank you so much for all of the great hair tips. I’m a redhead and have always had dry, coarse hair. I find I have to use lots of different products to tame it.
Sorry. I am late to the party. Of course you scrub dishes before they go in the dishwasher! The dishwasher is for sanitizing. Also, not scrubbing can clog your pipes. Nobody wants a dishwasher backing up. Hard pass.
I have the same problem. The pre/post menopausal hair loss is linked to the loss of estrogen and response to androgens, i.e. increased DHT activity at hair follicles. I have resolved the problem with rosemary oil (massage it in your scalp 2-3 times a week and leave it on for 1 to 2 hours and then wash it off with a coffein-based shampoo. If you do not find such a shampoo, you can just mix one teaspoon of grind coffee in your shampoo. Leave it on for 2 minutes and wash it off. Coffein has a strong anti-DHT activity, preventing the hair loss while rosemary oil stimulates hair growth. This is based on dermatologist advice and it has worked for me perfectly
I showed this to my little brother cuz he has long hair and I noticed after his showers his hair wouldn't be fully clean and no matter how I tried to explain it nothing seemed to get to him. And ofc it'd be pretty weird to show my little brother what to do in the shower being his older sister lol but I wanted to help him but I just didn't know how. Until I found this video one day and after he felt how soft and clean his hair was after washing it properly he's been doing so well and my mom and I have definitely noticed a difference. So thank you for making this video lol it really helped
Great video! We NEED a video on bond builders both shampoo/conditioners, clarifying shampoos, purple shampoo's, and dry heat protection sprays! We need you to tell it to us straight :) Meaning girls that visit salons, do color, do highlight, do use blow dryers and hair tools. TU!!
I've been using all your recommendations on my 50yr old hair journey and I am starting to see results, which is awesome. I'm still working but I am very pleased with what I've seen so far. Thanks so much!!!
my daughter used the products I got from my subscription and she said, “ugh! why you make me have to buy this now?!” lol she loved the feel of the bottles as well as the scent and loved the way her hair was feeling. She now knows how to properly wash as well 😉
I love that the scent is so mild but lovely. It doesn't stick to my hair after I wash it out. Just a nice little pleasant cherry on top. BUT shipping to Canada and customs ended up costing more than the subscription so I had to cancel 😭 as soon as there's a better option for my Canadian ass, I'm in.
Lathering the shampoo in your hands does not waste the shampoo. That doesn't make any sense. The shampoo is mainly a surfactant that helps water mix with oil, so it can clean. It is not like when you lather the shampoo you render it less active or "use it up".
@@marianafaria6960he is saying by doing the hand work with it helps to saturate it through the roots. Not doing so we tend to go in on one spot of the head. 😅😅
I had awesome hair my whole life………….and then there was menopause! WTF!! Some of my hair is curly, some straight, and some frizzy. We can’t win! My hair is much better after using the shampoo, mask, and weekly treatment that you suggested I just wish it fixed menopause hair🤯
This was perfect! Just when I thought I was a pro and I knew all your tips you reminded me I’m over 50 and my hair is probably needing a mask weekly now. I was just thinking why my hair seemed to be getting drier and lacking luster. Thanks for sharing your experience and advice.
Omg finally!!! I try to tell people this all the time. You goy everything right. Brush your hair before you wash. Saves drains and brushing after. Wet hair is the most fragile.
Hola Chris & Leslie! Since I started following your recommendations my hair is so much healthier and shinier! At 52 that’s a great change!! One thing I always did without even knowing the benefits is washing it every 5 days. Your technique is marvellous! Thanks both for sharing your tips and smiles!!!! Big hug, from Argentina 🇦🇷
Thank you so much for this vlog. I was washing my hair all weibg until this video. I am 69yrs & have grown my hair but hated washing it as it would tangle so much & it was so hard to comb it has to put so much conditioner so I could brush it after washing as. But now after watching this video I have been washing my hair now this way & omg it is so mych better. I can now comb it after washing without any issues, so now my hair is so much easier to comb after washing. Wish I had found this video before now but I now know how to wash & its so much more enjoyable washing my hair as I now don't need to worry about it getting tangled. So thank you so very much love your channel From Australia 🇭🇲
I am 59 and only wash my hair once a week. Thank you for the additional tips for keeping my hair looking better. I did not know the science of shampoo. A game changer. 2 shampoos it is. Thank you. I have always conditioned only the mids and down.
God... I love you, your staff, and your videos... No bs, no advertisements, just real information thats beneficial, educational, and hilariousat times... I've learned so much from your channel... So thank you!!!
Never did I think I could wear my hair down for more than one day after washing....doing a proper hair wash DOES make a difference.... Thank you for your videos!!
I do hair oiling every other wash, my hair grew so quickly, also my psoriasis is doing so much better! If you are doing hair oiling do make sure that you find your soulmate shampoo that works for you first, if you haven't already!
Yep! As a south asian hair oiling is part of my culutre as well, I grew up being forced to do it lol. The thing I found odd that the lady he used as an example in the video was using olaplex oil? That's definitely not an oil most people use as on their roots or as a "pre wash oil". 😭
@@HeyKMO As a Latina.. we are used to using oil as a treatment. I use to use Rosemary, carrot, olive oil, coconut, avocado and castor oil. leave it in for an hour then wash it out. I got lazy and stopped doing this a few years ago and I am going to start again as my hair no longer is as thick and healthy as it was when I was still doing my treatments. My hair has been breaking off daily...my thick curly hair is now thin and unruly.
Can you do a video about maintaining naturally wavy/curly hair? Like what to do after washing (without using a styling iron) and letting the waves last until the next wash. Thanks! Love your videos, learning sooo much!
Can you please do a demo of someone washing their hair in the shower? I am trying to follow your method but don’t know if it is correct. It’s easy when I go to the salon and the stylist is washing my hair is over the sink 🙏❤️
I watched your video on how to grow long hair, and I've been using your system and, although my breakage has considerably decreased and my hair is now the same length all over and healthier, I did have to change the part on conditioning. I HAVE to conditioner my entire head; my hair is so fine that the hair on top tangles every single time it gets washed. If I don't put conditioner all over, my roots become tangled and hard to comb or brush out. I will say that my hair is now probably the healthiest I've ever had except as a kid. :) Thank you! I'm so happy with my hair now. :)
This is probably the most helpful & informative video about the normal hair routine I have ever watched! I am for sure going to use this advice the next time I wash my hair!
But on a more serious note, your videos are the only ones that I actually stop what I’m doing and find myself standing watching you’re so engaging. Just keep ‘em coming.!! ❤
Following your split method changed my hair completely. I include it on the nape of neck, and I can go four days between washes and my hair looks amazing - FINALLY at 46.
I just came across your channel a few days ago and found out that I was doing some good things with my hair and then some bad things with my hair.. But I just washed it (correctly) and im already seeing a difference even after one wash!!
Chris, thank you so much for these videos you have truly transformed my hair.I struggle a bit with styling my hair so that it looks good and the style lasts.I would appreciate it if you do more videos on that topic!💓
I can't believe I've actually been doing this right! My sister has oily hair and never listens to me but now I'm gonna make her watch this video so she'll see exactly what to do. Thank you :)
Seriously YOU ARE THE BEST 🎉 I really like how you get specifically in details. After watching many of your videos I feel like now I’m an expert ✨ I really love my very long hair and your channel is amazing ❤️
I actually love hair oiling as it as help my hair so much those past few years! My scalp and hair are naturally very dry, thanks to hair oiling my hair grew thicker and healthier. Plus I don't need to wash it excessively
Your shampoo and conditioner are the best! I wasn’t sure at first but I now love it. Your customer service is amazing. Your videos are incredibly helpful! 😊Thank you! ❤
Prewash scalp oiling actually caused me to develop seborrheic dermatitis so severe that I had significant amount of hair loss. Which before going to a dermatologist, I thought adding more oil would help fix! After stopping scalp oiling and curing my dermatitis, my hair loss started to reverse. Thank you for breaking the stigma about scalp oiling! ❤
I stopped scalp oiling first and foremost. Your scalp gets nutrients the best from what you ingest, so supplementing nutrients with an oil is redundant if your diet is balanced. I wash my hair twice a week. I started using a shampoo with salicylic acid in it for my first shampooing on wash day (I use Neutrogena’s TSal Shampoo). Kept using my same old products for the rest of the steps of my wash day. Let the salicylic acid lather sit on your scalp for about 2-5 mins before rinsing. I also started red light therapy to help regrowth boost a bit (5 mins a night before bed). My hair fall significantly reduced and the hair I lost is coming back. If you don’t see improvements with hair fall after trying products with salicylic acid in it after 8 weeks, I would seek further advice from a board certified dermatologist.
Thanks for sharing!! I have had scalp problems most of my life. I've used a Salicylic acid shampoo by Keune, and it cleared my scalp. Then I felt like it dried out my hair, so I wanted to add more products to my routine. Well, unfortunately I bought some Monat products and for the initial two washes my hair was great. Then my dermatitis flared with a vengeance. It was never that bad. I couldn't get past the scaling, itching, flaking, shedding etc. I stopped and started Ketocanazole over the counter. My scalp is better, but I am now dealing with dry and frizzy unruly hair.
I have done both. I have fine hair and would spend about a week without washing and there has been a period when I used to wash every day. Mind you, that was when I was in high school. Nowadays, I can go up to 4 days without washing it after I started following this channel.
What I like to do to protect my ends and clarify my scalp is apply a generous amount of BioSilk hair oil on my lengths and ends before I get in the shower, then add clarifying shampoo mixed with water in an applicator bottle and get directly to my scalp and massage for a good 30 seconds. I shampoo twice this way. My hair has finally grown past my bra strap with minimal damage.
@@onlydivya05 oil on the scalp is not as necessary as oil on the ends. Your ends get hygral fatigue from water swelling the cuticle open. Oil, specifically coconut oil, can help prevent that damage to the ends when applied pre-wash. Oil on the scalp is for a completely different purpose. It would be to emulsify the sebum and hydrate the skin but won't do anything to save the ends of your hairs
I totally scrub my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. I don't use like a lot of soap but just a brush and warm water to get the food off because stuck on food does not come off all the way in the dishwasher I don't care what kind of dishwasher you have I'm with Leslie!
He's wrong about hair oil. Depending on the type of oil, it can be really effective to protect the lengths and ends from the shampoo process. Do you blow dry? It's the only thing that helps me go 2 days without washing
the conditioner section really surprised me because I just assumed everyone did as I did and used such an obscene amount of conditioner that they needed to repurchase it 5 times as frequently as their shampoo
I’m so glad I found your channel. I have recently begun a new career after recovering from some health issues (yay for good health!) so I really want to improve my hair health as well and make it look nice. I normally just shove it in a bun. It is fine and frizzy. I recently had it professionally cut for the first time in 10 years and now I’m learning a lot from your channel about how to manage it and safely style it. I especially appreciated the hair styling routine you recommended in your video about how to use a blow dryer brush properly without damaging the hair. It has given me some structure on how I plan to manage my hair moving forward. Thank you so much!! This will help to give so many people more confidence and improve their self esteem.
I am so glad that you brought up the little scrubber tool. I would forget about mine and use my fingertips. I am so glad that I wasn't missing out. I love this channel. The hair care box is awesome!
My problem is that I workout everyday and SWEAT. Like my hair is SOAKED. Can you give advice or is this just something I can’t work with and would need to workout only on wash days?
I hair really fine hair (and not much of it). I used to need a cut every 6-8 weeks because of damage so I could never have long hair. I’ve been following your advice, shampooing every 5-7 days with salon quality shampoo and conditioner (switching to a mask every few washes), putting leave-in conditioner, oil on my ends, not touching my hair with my fingers if I can, etc. my hair is now longer than my bra strap and hasn’t needed a cut in months. What a change. Thank you so, so much! Now if you could only teach me a way to make it thicker… lol
Right?! I have a hypothyroid and it causes thin hair, so no amount of washing correctly can fix that. If you have any suggestions for counteracting this issue, please share! @BlowoutProfessor
@@lillyenovis15I can relate! I have Hashimoto’s and even when I have had the correct thyroid levels on medication, I still lose hair especially on the crown. Now going through perimenopause and it’s worsened because of the hormonal fluctuations. I sometimes use extensions or toppers but it takes a lot of work and I don’t have that much extra free time. It’s been an ongoing battle despite me changing my diet, supplements, medication and managing stress. Us women really go through so much and need a break! Wish I could look as good as Chris with a shaved head lol!
Please please please can you show us a curly to straight blowdry tutorial, preferably on Leslie’s hair! Some tips on getting a smooth, shiny, straight and long lasting result that we can do for ourselves 🙏🏼BTW your methods absolutely work, I’ve been following you for about 5 months now and have finally managed to grow my top layers & fringe out! 🥰
YES!! Absolutely need to scrub the dishes before they enter the dishwasher. As my husband repeatedly says, "The dishwasher IS NOT a garbage disposal!" Great information!! Thank You!
Although you shouldn’t put dishes with loose chunks of food in the dishwasher, neither should you scrub those dishes clean before putting them in the dishwasher. This was told to us when we got our new washer a few years ago. First you’re wasting water in the biggest way (I originally came from Southern California where we had water rationing more than once). Even if you have sufficient water (like we did here in Oregon), you’re making an unnecessary chore for yourself. With these newer dishwashers, all you have to do is scrape the food off and put the dishwasher on. Even if you only have 2 plates, a mug and a few utensils, the machine is set up for a water saving cycle. You can contact the company that makes your dishwasher and they’ll give you tips on using it.
Yes, I scrub my dishes before they go in the dishwasher! Growing up I had a friend, where they cooked with a lot of sauces. They never rinsed their dishes, and the dishwasher was stained and smelled bad. It was gross! Like my mother always did before me, I clean the dishes off first. My dishes come out clean, and after 10 years, my dishwasher still looks & smells new! Thank you for reviewing how to wash our hair properly. I think it is good to be reminded of even the simple things once in awhile, as we can forget and get lazy!
I am so glad you fought for the slick conditioner. I am madly in love with it. It just feels so luxurious when applying. I am still adjusting to the shampoo as I'm used to a creamier shampoo and haven't quite gotten the amount I need to use right yet. For Leslie, no, I never scrub my dishes before the dishwasher. I don't want the dishwasher to think I don't trust it to get things clean. It's bad for moral. lol I do sometimes rinse or soak something it if is particularly icky, but don't tell the dishwasher!
Leslie and Chris.. so appreciate your hard work and detail in these videos! ❤ INCREDIBLY hair-changing!! I heard a rumor… “You should ONLY blow dry your hair from the top of your head, down to the ends. Do not flip your head over and blow dry.” Something about hair cuticle… blah, blah. Is this true?
I exercise and run 5-6 days a week and get soaked with sweat every time, including my hair. Any tips on how to reduce hair damage with all the washing and blow drying?
44 year old man here, Shaved my head with no attachment from 16 until 41. I haven't cut it since, long hair for the first time in my life... I have been making so many mistakes. I learned so much from this video. Thank you.
I wash each dish sort-of (no soap) before loading it into the dishwasher. My hair is so fine, and thanks to the great information from the blowout professor, it's prettier and heathier and longer than it's ever been. Wish I knew sooner, but it's a gift to the age I am now. Thank you, thank you so much.
Great tips! Applying product using the Split Method worked like a charm! My hair is looking and feeling so much better. Thank you so much for an awesome video. Question: I'm a competitive swimmer. Is there anything I can do to get the chlorine out of my hair so I'm not washing 3 times a week?
So ive actually needed to start oiling my scalp before i shower. I never washed my hair every day and still don't but i was having severe hot spots and burning and itching on my scalp. Went to the doctor and she said my scalp was super red and irritated and to start applying sunflower oil to my scalp before i shower. Its been a huge relief for me. I know im a different case as far as "oil care" goes but mine is for a medical reason not necessarily just for my hair.
I'd love to know about the hair's ideal pH according to @BlowoutProfessor. I've poured filtered 4.5-6.6 pH beauty water over my hair after washing and conditioning and it seemed very happy.
I have curly hair so I don't do blow outs..but I do take the rest of your advice and it is all great. My hair is thriving. Your latest suggestion to wet brush instead of combing..amazing. Barely any hair in the brush!! Excellent hair tutorials!!😊
Only put DIRTY dishes in the dishwasher!! Scrape off the chunks....do NOT wash or rinse before putting in the dishwasher! You're only wasting water and energy....also, dishwasher detergents are made to react to dirty dishes (I'm not a chemist, I don't know how....I just have read this). PS I've just discovered you and have changed how and when and with what I'm washing my hair. Thanks, Professor! Am also telling my family & friends to follow you. Keep up the good work.
dishwashers are very efficient in cleaning very dirty dishes. it's one of the most misunderstood electrical appliances I think. when people tell me their dishwasher doesn't clean better than hand washing, I know they are doing it wrong!
There are heavy reactive detergents in modern dish washer soaps. If they don't find dirt to react with, they will.find something else. Like seals, plastic parts, the dishes, .... So you are absolutely right. ❤
The YT channel technology connections has excellent videos on the mechanics and chemistry of dishwashers. You are not supposed to wash them before placing in the dish washer.
If I put dishes with stuff on them instead of a quick rinse the. They have crunchies on them after. I use dishwasher detergent and have cleaned the parts inside the dishwasher
I just want to say; i discovered you about a year ago. I have had shoulder length hair my entire life. It never grew past that. I have been following your methods for about a year now and i cannot believe that my hair is about 6 inches away from my butt! Thank you so much for all of your help! My only problem is that i have extremely thin hair. So when it gets long it just gets really stringy looking. Is there anything i can do to make it fuller? Especially towards the mids and ends? Thank you so much for everything. Your methods have changed my life! ❤
I am 65 years old and thought I knew everything about my hair in hot and humid Florida. Wrong!! This guy really knows what he’s talking about. I have cut down my daily hairwashing to twice weekly, using dry shampoo correctly after years of overdoing it and about 4 other key tips. Result is that although my post menopausal hair is thinner than it used to be, the condition and overall look is SO much better I have a lot more confidence. THANK YOU so much❤
man, i'm a dude having to follow this guy's instructions because my entire life, other barbers just, wreck my hair, i've been told how to wash it wrongly, my hair is never good enough, dry tips and oily scalp, i sure hope this works out
It'll work. Women have been given the wrong advice by stylists their whole lives too. I have curly hair and never heat style it but I follow the advice here for everything else. Total game changer.
@@roxanebethjohnson3594 yeah i just washed my hair following the tips about 2 days ago and its still great, before it would stay a bit dry and kinda clumpy, even with the not recommended products and just, "mildly acceptable shampoo for my type of hair" it still works better
I did everything you said since your last video about oily roots and my hair still oily as hell.. I found out that the main reason is my thinning hair so there is more oil and less hair 😅... i only saw some improvement with the redken volume shampoo
I always scrub my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. I’ve never had to clean the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher. I’ve checked, nothing there. I have never had to rewash dishes or silverware. My dishwasher is more than 20 years old, I don’t know how old exactly, because I got it off of Craigslist for free. It had been used prior to that. We’ve had it at least 20 years. It’s a KitchenAid. I have learned so much watching this video! Will be doing everything you’ve suggested. Thank you !
I found the Moroccanoil light mask version just wasn't moisturising enough. The black lid one is ok, but my HG is L'oreal professional absolut repair mask. Fantastic stuff to use every hair wash. once per week for me. Medium/coarse hair. The Redken volume inject shampoo that Chris recommends is the only one that gets my hair/scalp all the way clean
I subscribed last fall. Followed advice for fine hair. I have thick hair but fine strands. Within 5 weeks the difference was amazing. Everything I was doing had been completely incorrect. The more expensive products do last longer and provide much better results. I was purchasing Pantene every other week. My first bottle of Redken lasted three months. Chris has the very best advice and I also love Lesley. 🥰
how do you correctly "restyle" hair the day after wash day without messing it up or making it greasy? would you wet the hair? which products are we supposed to reapply and which are unnecessary? (like are we supposed to put on a heat protectant again when heat styling?) thank you!
For me it usually tends to feel kinda like talking to a wall replying to videos when I see no interaction, but as I've seen you 'hearting' or even replying to comments I'll take a shot at this comment thing, haha. I've had lots of issues throughout my life with basically everything a person needs to do to stay alive. I tried my best to eat, stay clean etc. but just did it the best way I knew how and sort of hoped for the best. I now have an official autism+ADHD diagnosis and it makes so much more sense to me why everything always felt so strange and wrong and difficult and whatnot. Anyhoo so now I'm trying to pay more attention to every single part of daily life seperately before trying to incorporate it into my routine and moving on to add another step, like eating properly, then dental care and now I have arrived to hair care. And I just wanted to let you know how much this video alone has helped me just knowing what to do from now on. I've just ordered the right products for my hair type/texture/etc. and got a fresh cut on Friday and I just really like to do it the best way possible from now on. So thank you so much for explaining all of this! And for not totally bashing the scalp massager haha as I have just bought one of those too and it feels amazing and I kinda got scared when you started talking about it. However, I now know not to use it for shampooing (which I did and planned to keep doing) and I'm really excited having learned that. Also, Leslie, I read you reply in another comment about you not being sure whether you're as funny as you think you are, but the combination of the way it is all presented and your interaction throughout the video helped me focus and made me laugh a lot. So I just wanted to add that yes, I do think you are as funny as you think you are (haha). Like I said, I usually don't leave comments and sharing something like this isn't really my thing, but I somehow felt I needed to share this for you to know that you're maybe even doing more than you might think you're doing with this kind of video.❤
@@BlowoutProfessor thank you! I already feel like it's a lot different comparing to last week now that I indeed understand more of the how and why behind it all, especially now that I have my new shampoo that's actually meant for my hair type along with leave-in conditioner, hair oil and both Olaplex no. 6 and Living Proof dry shampoo that I saw you recommend. I still need to 'perfect' things but thanks to you I totally have hope that it'll all be fine as soon as I found the right amount of everything for my hair now that I at least have the right products. Thanks again:)
Chris & Leslie ……such a good diy/fyi! I am Loving your new products I’ve never had my hair feel so clean Products truly live up to the word “weightless” Ty for developing them I love y’all ❤❤
Your advice was a game changer for me this past year. I thought I was just doomed to have dry hair but I really just hadn't found my shampoo soulmate and even then I wasn't washing right. Also, always scrub your dishes before the dishwasher! It's the difference between clean and sanitary!
I tried to wash the roots only, but its very hard by yourself! The way you show in the video ( somebody washing your hair in that position in a sink) its different than washing yourself. But i will try again, maybe i can find a method. ❤ your videos are so helpfull
Can you please do a video for swimmers? I love being in my pool every day, but don’t really know what to do before and after pool time. I know the chlorine hurts it, but I don’t want to be shampooing every day either. Please help 😊
I rinse mine before getting in, so that the hair can't absorb more water. Then I apply a conditioner. I have been using just a conditioner, but saw on another of his videos, he said use a leave-in, so I spray that on my hair before getting in pool. After getting out, I go inside (I have a pool at my house too), and rinse my hair, and rinse conditioner thru it,.then spray a good leave-in in it, and oil the ends.
Love your fun educational videos. I have dry hair and find your tips have improved the condition of my hair. Your advice on products prevented wasting money and buying correctly for my hair type. More on dry damaged even coarse hair would be welcolmed. Great voice and hair😊. Cape Town 🇿🇦
Thank you - this is really helpful! For years I've been rubbing the shampoo slightly between my palms and then applying to my scalp but applying the shampoo directly on the scalp makes a difference!
Thank you. I have learned a lot from watching your channel. I added Pureology shampoo and conditioner and leave in, as well as hair oil. I am wondering if you offer samples or smaller sizes of your new shampoo and conditioner? I love Pureology, but I really do not like the scent of both the shampoo and conditioner. I would like to know if I like the scent of your products before purchasing.
I would pick the Pureology scent over Chris' products any day. To me it smells like a combination of tea bags and vanilla. It's a very odd and off putting scent.
@@EverythingAndNothing08 Oh that sounds like an odd combo. I love Pureology but the shampoo smells like menthol and mint, while the conditioner has a light flowery sent. I don’t know why a set would have two totally different scents when they are meant to be used together. Thank you for your response. I appreciate the input!
I totally love the comments from the back!! Hilarious interactions. Thank you so much for these videos and information. I know it takes a lot of time. So grateful to you.
I have followed this for a couple months now and my hair has grown at least 6”! And is so so healthy now! I have crazy thick and curly long hair (waist length) and I just do this gently brush and leave it natural (no blow drying, straightening, etc) and it works!!! ❤
I follow your recommendations however by day 2 my scalp is oily. The only way I can wear my hair is in a ponytail. I am almost 60 and that isnt alway appropriate for work so many times my hair gets washed more often
That's how my hair is. I can maybe get away with leaving it down on day two but by day three it's grease city and there's no way I could be seen in public like that.
Same. I’ve tried everything, including recommended products from here, etc. I tried taking meds once but had horrible side effects and had to stop. The only thing that’s worked is pregnancy. 🙃
Thank you for the information on hair health. I also scrub my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. Food can plug the inner workings of your dishwasher.
Can you please make an easy video for our husbands how to wash their daughters hair in the tub. With the do’s and don’ts and simple towel drying. ❤ I would immediately share this with all my friends with kids ❤
Good idea 👍
@@BlowoutProfessor Yes!!!!!!!!! I would love to see your tips for kids! I have 2 girls with two different hair types. One is really full, silky & never looks dirty. The other is thin and coarse and doesn't grow as fast. And by day 2, her hair already looks dirty. I would love your advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too! My little daughter suffers from her daddy's lack of hair skills. No shame on him. But maybe the Prof could explain that process for men.
Include different types of hair then please !! Fathers of girls with ethnic hair have a lot of trouble too@@BlowoutProfessor
This would be great because a lot of kids learn how to shampoo from their dads. I was taught wrong by my dad. I'm 42.
i love that you’ve been recommending the same products for years. it makes me trust you so much more i feel like when people on yt are constantly changing products i can’t trust they’re not just always taking sponsorships but your list is almost fully memorized for me and i love that
I actually would love to see other recommendations, because the products on the list are not the right fit for everyone.
Sometimes products just stop being as effective as they once were. I have to regularly rotate between a few brands to keep them working well.
I can’t WAIT to try this method. I had no idea I was out here not knowing how to wash my own hair. 😮💨 Healthier hair, here I come! Thank you!!!

What if you have a shampoo and conditioner all in one
And have short hair, what or how should I wash my hair when. It has both?
Yes, I do scrub my dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. LOL Thank you so much for all of the great hair tips. I’m a redhead and have always had dry, coarse hair. I find I have to use lots of different products to tame it.
Yay team scrubbers for the win! 🤣

Please make a video on tips for post-menopausal hair loss and frizziness. Thank you! Great videos!
Yaaaas, please!
What if you have a pixie cut or Bob? How to prevent that?

I did not realize the way that you wash your hair could make such a difference. I'm a believer now.

my daughter used the products I got from my subscription and she said, “ugh! why you make me have to buy this now?!” lol she loved the feel of the bottles as well as the scent and loved the way her hair was feeling.
Lol @aubfan1981 that’s hilarious! Glad she likes it too and knows how to use it correctly 😉

Yep! As a south asian hair oiling is part of my culutre as well, I grew up being forced to do it lol. The thing I found odd that the lady he used as an example in the video was using olaplex oil? That's definitely not an oil most people use as on their roots or as a "pre wash oil". 😭
@RajiRahan oh yeah olaplex is not an oil for hair oiling 😀

I watched your video on how to grow long hair, and I've been using your system and, although my breakage has considerably decreased and my hair is now the same length all over and healthier, I did have to change the part on conditioning. I HAVE to conditioner my entire head; my hair is so fine that the hair on top tangles every single time it gets washed. If I don't put conditioner all over, my roots become tangled and hard to comb or brush out. I will say that my hair is now probably the healthiest I've ever had except as a kid. :) Thank you! I'm so happy with my hair now. :)
This is why he recommends using* an all over conditioner spray (by purology) after you wash the scalp and condition the mid and ends. ❤

Thank you! 🥰
I think I did the same thing! what products helped you treat it?
how did you cure it?
My scalp is better, but I am now dealing with dry and frizzy unruly hair.
i've always pre-washed my dishwasher loads! it leaves less mess in the washer's drain so the logic makes sense for your hair too!
That’s my girl! 😬
Same. I've only been able to grow my length after starting a hair oil routine 🙌
I follow Abby Yung hair oil routine ( on mid to ends) and it’s really helped my hair.
But he said no pre oiling? I am confused.. should we not apply oil on scalp?
@@onlydivya05 oil on the scalp is not as necessary as oil on the ends. Your ends get hygral fatigue from water swelling the cuticle open. Oil, specifically coconut oil, can help prevent that damage to the ends when applied pre-wash.
Oil on the scalp is for a completely different purpose. It would be to emulsify the sebum and hydrate the skin but won't do anything to save the ends of your hairs
@@Madamchief oh thanks a lot❤️

Exactly! Their dishwasher must have someone inside of it that’s cleaning the dishes for them because any time I haven’t the food is stuck on there! 😂
I have the same problem oily roots... frizzy hair ends...but I don't do oiling... tired of having these problem
He's wrong about hair oil. Depending on the type of oil, it can be really effective to protect the lengths and ends from the shampoo process. Do you blow dry? It's the only thing that helps me go 2 days without washing
@@Madamchief yea but its implied she's doing over kill and not applying it correctly for her hair. I only hair oil after the shower on mid to ends.
the conditioner section really surprised me because I just assumed everyone did as I did and used such an obscene amount of conditioner that they needed to repurchase it 5 times as frequently as their shampoo

I’m so glad I found your channel. I have recently begun a new career after recovering from some health issues (yay for good health!) so I really want to improve my hair health as well and make it look nice. My problem is that I workout everyday and SWEAT. Like my hair is SOAKED. Can you give advice or is this just something I can’t work with and would need to workout only on wash days?
if your head sweats from workout, you don't have to use shampoo. rinse with water and done.

Haha lol a little rinsing never hurt anyone 😂

So ive actually needed to start oiling my scalp before i shower. I never washed my hair every day and still don't but i was having severe hot spots and burning and itching on my scalp. Went to the doctor and she said my scalp was super red and irritated and to start applying sunflower oil to my scalp before i shower. Its been a huge relief for me. I know im a different case as far as "oil care" goes but mine is for a medical reason not necessarily just for my hair.
I know this is unsolicited but I saw a huge improvement when I put a filter on my shower head.

Only put DIRTY dishes in the dishwasher!! Scrape off the chunks....do NOT wash or rinse before putting in the dishwasher! PS I've just discovered you and have changed how and when and with what I'm washing my hair. Thanks, Professor! Am also telling my family & friends to follow you. Keep up the good work.
Yes! You are my kind off people 🙏🙏
dishwashers are very efficient in cleaning very dirty dishes. it's one of the most misunderstood electrical appliances I think. when people tell me their dishwasher doesn't clean better than hand washing, I know they are doing it wrong!

The redken volume inject fragrance irritated my scalp.. smelled like roses .. not in a hoops way.. wish they’d make a fragrance free .
I subscribed last fall. Followed advice for fine hair. I have thick hair but fine strands. Within 5 weeks the difference was amazing. Everything I was doing had been completely incorrect. Chris has the very best advice and I also love Lesley. 🥰

Happy it was helpful! Hair really isn't that hard once you understand a few key things. Hope you get the best hair of your life 🙏

I am Loving your new products I’ve never had my hair feel so clean Products truly live up to the word “weightless” Ty for developing them I love y’all ❤❤
Thank you! 🥰
I don’t use dish soap on my dishes before they go in the dishwasher, but I do rinse all the food off!
Samesies 😉
Your advice was a game changer for me this past year. I thought I was just doomed to have dry hair but I really just hadn't found my shampoo soulmate and even then I wasn't washing right.
Also, always scrub your dishes before the dishwasher! It's the difference between clean and sanitary!
You’re the best, Chris! So excited for this video!! 🎉😊
I scrub the dishes with dish soap, wash then dry before putting in dishwasher. great channel, I love the advice. I will subscribe.
When you coming out with shampoo and conditioner for course long color treated hair?
That isnt any different
@@graefkathi1447 He has his own shampoo conditioner line.. One for fine to medium and also coming out with course or thick hair 😀
I tried to wash the roots only, but its very hard by yourself! The way you show in the video ( somebody washing your hair in that position in a sink) its different than washing yourself. But i will try again, maybe i can find a method. ❤ your videos are so helpfull
What are you finding difficult? If you're in the shower just split your hair in half and apply the shampoo onto the scalp.
After getting out, I go inside (I have a pool at my house too), and rinse my hair, and rinse conditioner thru it,.then spray a good leave-in in it, and oil the ends.
...I always wear a swim cap....wash my hair 2x wkly
Love your fun educational videos. I have dry hair and find your tips have improved the condition of my hair. Your advice on products prevented wasting money and buying correctly for my hair type. More on dry damaged even coarse hair would be welcolmed. Great voice and hair😊. Cape Town 🇿🇦
What if you gym every day and sweat? Should we really wait til day 3 for a wash?
I was going to ask this!
No. I don’t understand this washing your hair only a couple times a week thing. 😮
My hair looks so much better thanks to you! Thank you so much for teaching us how to best wash our hair in such a fun educated way! ❤
Can you make a video how to get rid of frizzy hair
I totally love the comments from the back!! Hilarious interactions. Thank you so much for these videos and information. I know it takes a lot of time. So grateful to you.
Thank youuu! I’ve been wanting a new shampoo video too, this answered all my questions
Great advice, simple changes make a big difference. What do you think of hair perfume - is it safe to spray it on hair?
It makes my day when you drop a video!
Thank you for the information on hair health. I also scrub my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. Food can plug the inner workings of your dishwasher.
