Would you prefer the Ottocast p3 auto ai box or the Picasou 2 PRO CarPlay AI box? I just purchased the picasou 2 PRO and then came across the Ottocast p3. Which is the better/higher end/top of the line product?
If you require a HDMI Input, it is not available with P3. Yes! P3 is slightly better depending on one's needs. Hopefully, by the Summer of 2024, Ottocast should have something very useful. Unfortunately, the days of Wired Apple Car Play and Android Auto have come to past meaning most all vehicles will have Wireless Car Play and Android Auto and Ottocast will have to figure on new Innovations.
I bought this device (updated blue ray) and I could not get HDMI output signal. Tried several HDMI cables even tried my Dell desk monitor with no luck. I saw another comment from a guy having the same car (2021) GMC Yukon with no HDMI output signal. Have you tried the HDMI output? Please try and advise.
I’m highly disappointed with this, the only way I can get hotspot of my iPhone 15 pro is to come out of sleep mode go to settings and then personal hotspot and only then the picasou will join the hotspot. It should connect as soon as my phone is in the car automatically without all this faffing about. I been on their website but cannot see a firmware update so I think the best way would be to add a SIM card to the unit but I don’t fancy paying for another sim , is there a work round for my problem that you know I’m thinking of changing it up to a MMB max 5.0, but I don’t know if I get same problem have you got any info on this please Schaz?
My 2015 nissan pathfinder has a rca video and audio input which I use a hdmi to rca adapter to get videos to my cars radio display. Will this device work with it since my cars audio system doesnt have android auto? Can I connect it with my hdmi adapter to get android auto since that device has hdmi output?
I use the android platform on the box (and main screen using SIM card for data, no carplay or android auto use) and for some reason (1) my phone Bluetooth gets no sound, it'll connect but when answering calls I get no sound/audio (2) the box itself keeps disconnecting and restarting after about 25-30 mins of booting up from starting up the car. What could be causing these issues, and how to fix them????

This is a limitation with all these adapters, If you are in CarPlay mode and you come back to the native Android system, then you would have to reconnect the wifi. The workaround is adding a SIM card, this will have the device connected to internet all the time. You can use any SIM card with data access

I tested it in my car and it worked fine. In fact, in the new Ottocast P3 model, the HDMI feature is even better where you can have a different app playing on the backseat screens and a different one on the front main screen

You can connect over the hdmi input everything. Steamdeck, Windows Laptop, Consoles and so on. So is there any significant lag with hdmi in?

You will have to download them onto this device from Play store or Apk installer

Does it send the USB video to the headrest display units as well or does that require to be done via an external HDMI connection?
If you main screen is syncd with the back screens then you will have the display mirrored, if not then you will have to use the HDMI cable

Yes, but you need to connect one end to a power usb slot, like charging cable or cig lighter adapter, then connect the HDMI port

I guess its due to not enough power going to the box, use double usb cable to increase power
