Bonus niche tip: If you have a really fast plane that doesn't turn as well, give it an air-brake. Build it with a water paddle or a few oars flush with the body that can extend on hinges with a toggle button. Great for shedding speed to keep the enemy in front, or for keep your power dives from ending in tragedy.

2:45 My favorite merge is the split S, as it allows you to force 1-circles and 2-circles easily. The way you do it is by going down vertically, to have gravity pull your nose around, and when your horizontal again, you can slot in behind your enemy for a 2 circle, or force a 1 circle by turning into them. If the other person has the same idea, you're automatically in a 1 circle fight. If you go up vertically at the merge, you're doing it very wrong, as the enemy now has more kinetic energy and with that (in this case) the tactical advantage. If you're going split S into 1 circle, you should watch your airspeed, as you will gain kinetic energy, making your turn radius bigger. If that happens, you can also force a vertical 2 circle, which you will most likely win. Or you can go vertical until you're on top, and then force a 1 circle. If you have similarly performing aircraft in the 2 circle, you should only consider a split S when you're merging with the potential energy to your advantage (above the bandit), as the enemy could go down too, in order to try to force a 1 circle easily. I wrote too much again lol
4:56 If you reverse a turn to early, the bandit may not overshoot. Instead they will turn with you more easily, and shoot you out of the sky. You should also lower your throttle, as you'd go slower then, making the bandit more likely to overshoot. I'd also wait until see their nose (trailmakers auto aim is op), and then jink a lot, to make the auto aim less likely to hit you.
5:09 if you find yourself in a situation like that, you can also go up and down slightly, increasing your turn radius. if you do it correctly, you now have offset the 2 circle, putting you into a situation where you can easily force a 1 circle.

At the time (3:54) I have to completly agree with you, im on ps5, I dont have no one to play with (1 of my friends plays but only played w him once) and it is almost impossible to find a fairly normal dogfight in public lobbys

I’m not sure thats strange honestly it depends when you play I’d try at a later time in the day but if you still have no luck I recommend you try hosting a server but name it “dog fights” or something similar

The server host can ban blocks. If you have friends you can set whatever rules you like.
