    I think we could see non wing sprints and midgets as DLC in the future with the Xtreme Outlaws series under the same banner, and hopefully the Chili Bowl track since it’s an iRacing track.

    I agree tractor tires need to be fixed whether they just make so they don’t move or they reset every caution. Also 4 bar adjustments on the all the late models and mods when they come out. Just make it so you can adjust the degree of them and maybe the length. Same on a street stock they’re not 4 bars but the lower trailing arms do a similar job as the 4 bar the lower you move one side the more drive it gets. Add 4 or 5 measurements to choose from on LR and RR starting at 2 1/2” (stock location) would love to see imca classes, different body choices for street stocks like new Camaros, old Camaros, Malibu, newer Monte Carlos, and get rid of the spring rates just make it springs say 225 LR 200 RR 700 RF in a street stock also give heights 16” LR coil, 20” coils. The game is close and with someone with any sort of racing knowledge can give them input on what each adjustment does in real life and make it do the same. Then add options in paint booth for Flourescents, ability to add 2nd number on the car different then yours as like a tribute in your number if you understand what I’m saying. The game is really good but some tweaks would make it so they wouldn’t have to make a new one in years. Also track wear needs to be a thing, the cushion moves up some from heat to feature but let’s see a track get slick or the tracks you can’t get traction on let’s see them turn into lock down Rubbered up tracks as the night progresses. You might be fast in the beginning and fade make it realistic so there’s strategy to it

      Lots of good ideas there. I know they don’t wanna go too far and lose the average player, but it’d be nice to have that available for those that want to go there.

    I haven't raced late models yet, but I very much agree with the damage and caution issues. I don't need Wreckfest level visual damage, just put the wrecked cars out of the race. The Ratbag PC game did this well, and damage carried over throughout a night in career mode.
    Also, any cars involved in a caution should go to the rear of the field. I shouldn't be able to roll a 410 sprint, restart in 5th place, and go on to win the race.

    The right left issue is trying to simulate weight transfer vs grip. In pavement we set up our cars to be free(loose) so it will turn left. In Dirt we try to make the car Tight (understeer) so it doesn’t spin out in the turn. Pavement is a weight shift to RF tire, in dirt we try to transfer weight to the RR tire. Keeping a larger percentage of weight on the LR for traction.

      I have that problem, especially at 1/2 mile or larger tracks. I pretty much have to wait until I'm right on the straight away to power out. I also make sure that I'm never full-lock turning right. Wall avoidence, adjusting controller deadspot/sensitivity, and fine-tuning setups can help a little bit, though.
      Edit: I'm never full-lock right at the larger tracks. I do full-lock right at the shorter tracks.

      Good explanation. I think this guy doesn't really understand the geometry of suspension and torque and all the good things about the real life cars. I think he needs to go watch some videos

    I think you hit the nail on the head here. Another thing I wouldn't mind is a short victory lap/burnout session if you win the A main where you could go full throttle through the infield or just cruise up to victory lane if you want. From a driver's perspective, any particular tracks you think absolutely should be in the game?

      @@TheFastFarm Another thing I thought of after I sent the reply, the FOV in the first person camera angle is REALLY narrow. Would be great if there was a way to adjust that. I was unfamiliar with those tracks so I looked them up and yea those would definitely be a cool addition, Lawrenceburg almost seems like it slopes on the straightaways which looks fun as hell. I wouldn't mind seeing Farmer City IL too, watched a lot of races there as a kid. We did get Fairbury at least

      @@ChubertChug Farmers City would be awesome! I agree about the FOV. I like to run the camera over the nose and I have no clue if someone is inside or outside of me. Just sling it in and pray.

    Port Royal is almost undriveable in late models to me. I thought I'd get better as time went on but it still feels almost impossible to make it through a full race without spinning or slamming the wall. A lot of times it feels the only way to keep it straight is to hit the wall.

      @@TheFastFarm Yes it is. So is Bristol if you haven't ran there yet. All the tracks with long straights are that way. I wish they'd do some more tuning or something for a future patch. Those should be 3 of the best tracks in the game. Instead. they're just a nighmare.

    When you said having an option to be done in a race if you crash I’ve been saying that for 5 years. What’s the point of having full damage if it doesn’t work. They also need need to fix the yellow flags because no matter where the yellow flag takes place you or the AI don’t lose positions. If you spin out or a car in front of you spin out they keep the position instead of going back to the end of the field which doesn’t make sense

      I mean technically in a real race if you spin a car out you are charged with the caution but yes if a person causes a caution they should be sent to the rear

    One thing I noticed it that port royal starts you on the front stretch during heats and mains. If you’ve ever been to port royal, they release the cars in turn 4.

    Coming out of the turns in a late model, my car always wants to turn right and it's frustrating. It always does it for me on the straight aways. It's even worse racing online

    I just raced at Kokomo Saturday.. that tractor tire actually is righhhht where it is in the game out of 4. Actually the center tire in turns 1-2 is even worst

    I agree whole heartedly on the damage model. I’m not out here trying to wreck a car, but it’s a sim, it should be realistic! If I biff the corner or mess up or get caught up in a wreck, I want to see the car fly apart and my night is over. We WANT that realism. It’s 2022, soon to be 2023. Besides… it’s not like we can’t hit restart.

    The first part I think is the banking of the track, the car is "trying" to go straight but from a dead stop you just spin the tires and the ass-end of the car slides down the banking and the front doesn't.

    As far as the car kicking right when you first apply throttle, I notice its more pronounced when I tighten the car up running more LR spring rate than RR. If I run more RR spring than LR it's nowhere near as bad.

    My 602 crate set ups don’t turn right like that at all. All of mine goes hard right. You can’t use the same set up on every track. And that tire needs to stay, it keeps the corner cutters lower

    12:03 or bring back black flags. Wasn't seen to much in the 2011 game, but back on the early 2000 games black flags we a thing when u went into the infield, and that wouldn't count that lap.

    Saturday Night Speedway and WoO 2002 had the freedom of the infield as a kid i loved parking on the victory stage at Terra Haute it was awesome and as an adult i still love it lol but on a real note the invisible wall is stupid bog the car down after one and then black flag when the 2nd incident happens. Agree 100% on damage as well! One thing to add is i hate that it starts us out at the bottom of the track but thats been around since Dirt to Daytona

      Dude I just found these 2 games, and they are def hidden gems (for a retro gamer like myself). Ive loved sprint car racing most of my life but didn't know these games existed... I enjoy these 2 so much. I need to get a PS2 wheel next.
      My goal this summer is to get a PS4 or better and try these new games. But the ability to explore the track is a nice little touch that should be available in today's games...

    I haven’t bought the game yet, giving it some time to work the bugs out and see folks reviews but man you hit all my complaints so far from what I’ve seen. It’s 2022, can’t tell me they can’t add real damage to the cars like the GTA games. I’d love to see the track change through the night or at least pick options to have a dry slick, heavy or locked down track. Tire wear would be awesome for the longer lap features as a challenge. And for god bid, why during the races on the tuning menu is the cars always in some dirt floor garage?? Wtf. Why not behind a hauler or trailer and have actual pit sounds. Wouldn’t be hard at all.

    The shooting to the right on the throttle thing is an IRacing characteristic. I always had that problem on Iracing too. Less cross and more stagger is what I've found helps make it not so bad.

    The wall coming out of 4 on port royal does stick out but the gate piece acrossed it is added that is the entrance for the cars to get on the track changing the wall angle would change the track and how its ran in real life

    It's a majored issue on any track. It pulls to the right at full speed coming off the corners. It's my biggest problem and sometimes setting for the corners it wants to pull right

    My guess with the issue youre talking about car rotating right under throttle is everything is happening or at least happening more at slow speeds. The weight is on the left side. And the left rear has a softer spring. The combination makes the grip on the left rear really ramp up which makes it rotate to the right. At higher speeds the weight is different and it will rotate differently

    In Dirt Track Racing 2 from 2002 you can go all over the place and they would just give a black flag if you cut a corner or something. It was a little bit of a pain in some cases because they would black flag you for barely cutting a corner or when you're coming off a caution and start in a wonky position, but it was cool to be able to tool around the various parts of the infield, etc. or have a little leeway if you got spun into the infield.

    Track cutting in game development is usually defeated by having invisible checkpoints going around the racing surface. If you skip a checkpoint it's not a legal lap and doesn't count.

    Ratbag WoO 2002 game for Ps2 had all those features and more. And it’s 20 years old now. Just shows how bad the new game is.
    - In-Game Wing Adjustments
    - Realistic Damage Mode (Rip Wings Off, Damage Engine, Tires, Chassis, Rearend) Get a DNF
    - Sprint Cars Stall. Had No Reverse
    - Tearoff Mode
    - Infield was Drivable. (Got Black Flag for Driving in it During a Race tho)
    - Changing Track Conditions
    That game was awesome

    So im not the only one who thinks the handling of the SLM is janky as hell. Glad im not going insane lol. And the wall juts out like that at the end of turn 4 at port royal is there cuz the cars enter the track from there, thats how it is IRL.

    They don't go into the infield at Port Royal they go off track that's what the opening is for but in real life they close it. So I don't know why they have it open in the game

    Pre 2010 I only raced online on rFactor. There were a lot of amazing dirt mods like dirt factor, dwd, box sprints, imca mods, super late models, big blocks etc., etc. the setups were crucial. I actually used real world sheets as base setups and they worked as they should. In 2024 I don’t know why they can’t do this on console. The world of outlaws dirt racing game community always reverts to “it’s an arcade game”. I get that but at least give us a bit more realism like using realistic compression and rebound as well as tire pressure. Just my two cents. I love the game regardless.

    I agree 100% I have been playing this some. The car doesn’t act right in the advanced settings. The skilled setting is more realistic to me. I race late models for real and I have never had one react that way!

    So far, you've been by far my favorite person to watch when it comes to reviewing this game. You're knowledgeable and have first hand experience in real life which many of us don't have. You've certainly touched on many things that need worked on. I agree with you on everything you said.

    How do u compare iracings late model handling? Too real life?

      It’s honestly not far apart. But do I think someone could jump out of Iracing and into a LM and have success? Not right away. It’s harder to sling one in a corner when you’re strapped to it!

    Kokomo is such a great facility both on iracing and irl. Looks like they did it justice in the game. For anyone within reasonable driving distance, go if you have the chance. I try to get there for at least one event every year and it doesn’t disappoint

    I’m with you on the setup thing, but….the numbers can be interchangeable wether you’re running 500 springs all the way around or 250 in the rear ect, as long as the changes will keep it realistic. If you take a 250 LR to a 400, the number can be whatever, but as long as that change, will change how it would in real life to the car I’m okay with it. Same with rebound and bounce, stagger, as long as those changed up or down will impact the car how it would in real life, the number itself doesn’t much matter.

    In NASCAR Dirt to Daytona, they didn't have a DNF feature, but what they had was a more complex DNF system that was perfect in my eyes. So if you or the AI smashed into the wall hard enough, the engine would be fully damaged, and repairing it, which I know isn't a feature on here obviously, but fixing it took an insane amount of time that you may as well forfeit the race. If they brought that back in the next World of Outlaws game, as Monster Games was the developer of Dirt to Daytona, it would be great, and it should be like that in their next NASCAR game in 2025

    For the most part all the fixes the community wants are quality of life improvements and things that just make more sense, as someone who played the first two TS games I can tell this game is just like those with a new paint job (an objectively better functioning and looking paint job, but still)

      Something small I had noticed is that there is a section of bleachers missing at Fair bury right at the top of turn 4, again little stuff but nothing that would take massive amount of time to implement

    a easy thing for damage is like set it to where if you go under a certain amount of damage % you DNF
    under 50% aero damage? DNF
    under 80% engine damage? DNF
    under 60% radiator damage? DNF
    shouldnt be that hard to set this lol

    totally agree with just about everything. definitely straight line drivers need to be set right somehow to clean up the online racing. And thanks for mentioning setup stuff cuz i am clueless on all the detail but i am trying crazy to see if i can get faster and not fight it so much. First time viewing you and now subscribing to see what else u come up with. Thanks

    Tire part is hilarious lol. Got this for Christmas. I love it. I have only done a few A Mains. They need to animate a fist pump or a drivers arm celebrating in the replay cinematic. Does anything celebration like happen in Career Mode? Also animate the sprint car drivers arms in the replay too. Seemed a bit lifeless. I'm nit picking that becuase I animate and also 3d model. Have a driver climb the wing or something if he wins.

      Also great points on tires, podiums/infields, damages effects and a more cushioned walls, more realistic rules and cautions. I think visibility option should be available. That is an extent as you would need it for ever view but would love that option.

      Thank you sir! Depends on the track, I try to just drag the brake on most tracks to try and keep the car wound up. But some small tracks I’ll drop throttle and stab the brake to set the car then get back in it.

      Yeah no kidding, what it should be (to make it simple to code) is whenever there's a caution, just reset all the tires. One of the tires will probably cause a wreck which brings out a caution, so just whenever there's a caution, reset all the tires. Easy as can be to program. It's not ideal, but it's a simple broad stroke solution that gets you 80% of the way there or more.

    Just got this game, and everything you said is right. Dirt to Daytona had a better feel than this game somehow when it comes to racing on dirt tracks. They need to fix alot

    Sprint car in late model races that's how they get out onto the track that's why the wall is pushed down a little bit

    Full disclosure, I'm a Sprint Car guy, but I'm also a PC guy so I won't be buying this game unless it's available on PC in the future, BUT, all of your gripes seem to be from a Late Model perspective, as a dude from a Sprint Car perspective, I don't really care about how Late Models perform in a Sprint Car game. Yes it's World of Outlaws and they have a Late Model series, but come on. 410 Sprint cars are the top of the heap. That being said, I'm sure there are some things that are just way F'd up on the Sprint side for like setups as you said also, but as long as those things aren't too bad it doesn't really matter that much to me. At the end of the day, is it fun? That's the only thing that really matters. Yes there are lots of contributing factors to the answer to that question, but that's really the only thing that matters.

      Yeah I mentioned they were 100% from LM side. Definitely a fun game! I love sprint cars as well, I've said it multiple times, if they were more prevelant in this area, I would sell every LM part I own and switch over.

    With the little tires (concrete wall) I was in a online race with some guys and we were in the big blocks and we all went on the inside and all crashed 😂

    I would like to see 4 cylinder car, six cylinder cars, hobby stocks, sportsmen/street stocks, asphalt mods/dirt mods, asphalt late model/dirt late models in a game asphalt and dirt track racing mixed together

      I have problems with the car jerking left then snapping right there. Typically at the end of the straights.

      Sprint cars kinda do that though, when you come off the corner and the right side of the car unloads, you want that left rear wrinkled and digging, which has you headed basically straight toward the flagstand, especially if you're coming off the bottom, but it happens when you come off the top too just not as much. You can see a perfect example at 5:17 of the WoO highlight video titled "Huset’s Speedway June 24, 2022" (I can't link it, RUclips will remove my comment, you'll have to search it yourself) But you can see, both Macedo's car and Brian Brown's car rotate coming off turn 4 and for a brief moment they're pointed right at the flagstand. Not every car out there does that, but the ones in the front do! 😎😎

      @@TheFastFarm Port royal is the worst at the snap back toward the end of the straights. Seems like all the big tracks have it. It almost seems like they put sprint car physics into all the cars. That being the sprint cars shorter left rear snapps the car to the right when the cars weight starts re-centering. I raced real stock cars for years and never experienced sudden snap to the right lile that, well maybe when the track is still really wet in hot laps or in the first heat, but only on green take off. I agree and thought the same thing on setups too. They need real racers to help dial in the physics. Otherwise a great game. I miss the old pc game sprint cars road to Knoxville.

    The DNF thing you mentioned has been done in NASCAR games. Most recently Heat 5. When they added it it pissed alot of people off because it was too real. lol. I get where you're coming from tho.

    I would personally just like to see lower classes get some love like pro 4s and some stingers some people think they are slow but those divisions put up some great racing as well plus it would give some light to true short track racing
