    Skin tones on Oppo very good. And white color look like white color. Knowing that its new Sony sensor on Oppo, its not surprised. Even its Hasselblad involved in processing images. Something that they did with Sony Arc phone and Sony Exmor-R image sensor.

    I had the fold 5 and I did not like that camera at all, I didn’t know they were still using the same sensor from fold 2!? No wonder it felt so outdated

    I feel that oppo is much better and consistent. Hopefully Samsung will finally bring some massive updates to the 6th fold in terms of design, camera and for me at least IP for dust protection😅 yes i do not take my fold 4 out due to the IPX8 rating

    Your presentation is so clean and comprehensive.. thank you so much.
    In 12 hours, I'll be ending a bittersweet relationship with the Z Fold 3, and opening my arms to something that understands me a bit more (hopefully). Its been two years with this bad boy, and even more with Samsung, but its time to try something new.
    I love the Fold and appreciate what its given to the world, and they truly are wonderful devices, but i just dont feel like they're improving enough; the complacency is obvious. Ive been learning more about the smaller brands, and OnePlus seems to be one of the ones thats doing it right! Ill be holding the Open in my hand, tomorrow, and i havent been this excited for a phone in ages!
    Thanks again.

    Might have been nice to mention the stabilizer on video mode. I hear it isn't so good on the Oppo... What is your opinion, please ?
    Also mentioning that due to the size of the camera lenses, the Oppo doesn't support wireless charging.

    It is physical impossible to "simulate" a larger sensor. It is so frustrating to still hear these lies in marketing material. You know better than to just parrot these things, as apparent from your cinematography.
    The primary perk of a stacked sensor is faster readout speeds. Less rolling shutter artifacts in video and higher FPS shooting. Now is the oppo find N3 a better, more responsive shooting experience that is benefiting from the stacked sensor?
    Mirrorless cameras have been upgrading to stacked sensors and not one of them have claimed that a stacked apsc sensor is comparable to a full frame sensor or a full frame sensor is comparable to medium format.

    • @petertrex
      @petertrex 6 месяцев назад +2

      The point is not "simulate" larger sensor, it's there only for taking in more light. I agree with you that marketing when they say "1-inch class" is deceptive, I know it's impressive and great for mobile photography, but the marketing makes me want to hate it.
      new stacked sensor takes a lot of light, almost as much as the 989 but no way it can match the natural depth and all that.

    • @shApYT
      @shApYT 6 месяцев назад

      @@petertrex The improvement to low light performance can be attributed to BSI(back side illuminated) technology. BSI can capture more light because the circuitry is behind the photosites. This allows for more light capturing surface area.
      Stacked sensors, which can also be BSI, have the DRAM stacked behind the photosites in the same piece of silicon. Since memory is so close to where the light falls, it takes less time to capture.
      If this is about the photosites taking in more light, then you can reduce the number of photosites and make each of them bigger (12mp a7s vs 61mp a7r). You didn’t see Sony make any exceptional low-light claims attributed to stacking with the A9, which was their first stacked sensor. Still, bigger photosite size has nothing to do with sensor size. Practically, you can even argue more light from bigger photosites vs more ability to denoise from more pixels.
      If the marketing language can confuse better low-light performance with a larger sensor, then why not make the same claims when they make the aperture bigger? I’d be more willing to swallow that because at least then you start getting into some of the effects which a bigger sensor can bring (though the big sensor effects also needs the lens to be bigger. Otherwise you just get more fov or vignetting).

    After having the fold 4 I really can’t go back to a foldable without an under display selfie on the inner display. It’s amazing having that screen without a notch. Wish it had a better battery life tho.

    Looks like the Galaxy S24 series, iPhone 16 series and Pixel 9 series will have to work harder to not be badly beaten by the Oppo Find X7 series, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Honor Magic 6 series and Vivo X100 Pro Plus/Ultra😂
