they were ahead of their time, this conception not only of a breathtaking aestheticism (for a "military" and scientific machine) modeled on the wings of a manta ray at the bow as well as the sophisticated forms at the stern for the fluid flow shows in-depth research in this area for greater maneuvering efficiency, stability and fluidity without forgetting the tubular shape surrounding the propellers (attack attack submarines have probably chosen this concept to reduce cavitation noises) is to say how this amazing series of the sixties was a vibrant reflection, very realistic and intelligent of what could be our technology in the future. For all this, We salute you "bottom hat "for all those wonderful years that made us dream so much, Mr. IRWIN ALLEN. Thanks for all!
I use to LOVE this show..... I don't remember much of it-- had a BAD accident - got mashed between 2 trucks in 99 and I remember the SUBMARINE SEAVIEW-- but very little of the actual show..
Hopefully you will have a chance to get reacquainted by way of Streaming, DVD, You Tube and Other on line sources. Thankfully Voyage fans still have so much of the show available to us.
And don't forget Admiral Nelson in his first officer, here's a man that excluded power, oh, I tell you I bet you a lot of people join the Navy base on this movie
Years ago you needed to get refilled constantly to stay at Sea and you could only stay underwater for maybe 24-48 hours now you can stay underwater for you only have to surface for food, and a nuclear reactor last 20 years before refueling just imagine that I want to thank Admiral rickover the son-of-a-b**** foreign Nuclear Navy he's the one who pioneered it, he was an unbearable man but look at what he has given us
And you know what what we were seeing from the Seaview now we are seeing it with our sensors we actually are catching flying saucers flying in and out of the earth CertiFit Seaview was not far from reality
I will receive my kit next week but after five months you may no longer need these directions. But if you have not started yet let me know and I could make a copy and email them to you. :) Mike

I just realized that this is the first model/ sci-fi ship that I've ever seen that doesn't have decals.
At least your model came in a grayish plastic. I got one a very long time ago and it was black plastic.
Ouch!😢
The Seaview is the most iconic submarine design ever made. It was pretty good with the design except for the bubbles.
And what really tripped me out was the nuclear-powered Flying submarine Quine the flying sub
