    Omg, I actually LOVE yarnbarf/tangles! It's so meditative to put a podcast on and just...pick and unwind, then rewind and see the order being restored. Like I actually rarely organize my yarn balls when I'm travelling just so I can zone out untangling it later.

      @@moonbaecrochetfunny thing is I don't! And meditation and mindfullness is impossible but for some reason untangling yarn is probably what meditation feels like?

      Me too, give me your tangled mess and I will rescue it for you 😂 I have only thrown out one tangled mess and it was Bernat Casa yarn. I couldn’t save it 🥺😂

    ugh i agree with literally all of these pet peeves! the untangling one isn’t the biggest one for me because i usually have enough patience to just sit and untangle it (i’m also just too stubborn otherwise) but ideally i just wish it never happened. i also feel like yarn barf makes the yarn tangle so much more often than normal but that may just be me. also watching this while crocheting is so relaxing you have such a wonderfully relaxing voice :)

    Number 1 is mine too 😅 My cheap Amazon hooks would last maybe 2 projects before it came loose, my clovers have lasted over a year and no wear and tear so far, and I crochet everyday! I wish I started on clovers, would have saved me so much frustration as a beginner

    Some hobbii yarns like their cotton have easy start tabs that pull just directly from the center with zero yarn barf. It's awesome. I've had other brands that the yarn barf a mini skein. It's like the yarn gave birth.

  • @Desaundrea
    @Desaundrea 2 месяца назад +1

    You pulled the whole center out! 🤣🤣🤣 Girl you need to stick one finger through the center of the skein, and wiggle it up and down (you are making room in the center of the skein) and once you isolate what feels like the center, pull it out. Make sure it is just 1 loop you are pulling..just 1. Pull that out and it should be the middle or center start. If you grab several loops at once, of course you are going to get yarn barf 😂🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. I like you though. ☺️ You keep it real 💯🥰🧶🧶

    Girly if you hate yarnbarf, tangles, and center pulls THAT much, you have GOT to get a Wool Jeannie!! Best money I ever spent, and I crochet seamlessly, no more stopping to pull every 30 seconds or fixing tangles randomly! It spins on a magnet, so your crochet speed is the speed it spins at, I adore mine. I hope this changes your world the way it changed mine!

    I seem to always lose to yarn chicken, I’ve lost it twice now on this octopus I’m making, I refuse to buy another skein for 2 tentacles so I found scraps and crocheted with it and still lost, so I’m having to use the secondary color to finish the last tentacle, yarn chicken is for the birds lol

  • @Margot_Lazarus

    I got so fed up with yarn barf that I refuse to use the center pull! I have a little contraption that goes through the center of the skein or cake and then it attaches to a piece that kind of look like a banana hanger by a magnet and you just use the outer end as the yarn just delightfully turns on its contraption. Also, my other giant pet peeve that unfortunately I cannot fix is factory knots! Especially on yarn that goes through a color pattern and they tie it in the wrong place!!!!

    • @moonbaecrochet
      @moonbaecrochet  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Margot_Lazarus omg YES factory knots are soooo annoying!!! They're never clean, they always have tails sticking out-usually frayed! lol I can't stand it. But omg I might just have to look into getting myself one of these contraptions you speak of 🤭

    i am 100% with u on the weaving in ends and hand sewing, that is my least favorite part of every single project i do 😔literally if i see an amigurumi pattern that says no sew, im like "omg i should make that" even if i dont actually care about the end product at all sdkjfsk
    if u wanna sell me on a pattern, make it no sew fr lmao
    what i also hate about sewing parts on, is that its inconsistent, and im also not good at it,,,, so arms or ears will be like, one is higher than the other, or too far forward, or things like that,,, 😔sksjdfs
