What ever happened to the Zales Diamond? When I worked for Zales in the last century they had a very large (yellow?) diamond they titled the Zales Diamond. They had assigned it to one of their top cutters but I moved back to Ohio and I lost track of it. IIRC it was over 200 carats uncut.

I often wonder how many times I heard gemologists and auction houses say it's so rare and it's one a kind or it's a find of the century only to have another one come up a few years later.

1:45 why is his ring on backwards? Is that a thing, wearing your ring backwards? Or is it just so he can look at it and enjoy it?

Just imagine how much better they would look if they weren't "commercial" cut.

How can he say that ? The universe is massive you don’t know what’s out there , they find those green gems in meteorites so that proves him wrong . Don’t say they don’t grow anywhere else but earth , you haven’t been everywhere in the universe .

minerals and stones are everywhere but a gem is a polished and cut stone so unless there’s alien lapidaries out there gems are only found on earth
