It's definitely one of the greatest moments ever, but honestly we were absolutely rollingggg 2018 and I don't think had he missed that catch that we still don't win the title. 04 still has to have more clutch-ness in my opinion, but 2018s team will be remembered as one of the greatest all around teams in baseball history. Character, AL has some loaded competition.. cannot wait for this year!
The greatest season a team ever had. Evah! I was a junior on the high school baseball team with a senior who was a huge Yankees fan we had a great back and forth for the first part of the season which I will never forget. It became clear to both of us that the Sox had an all time great team and even he appreciated how damn good this team was. When the Sox capped their great season on the 28th of October he sent me a quote, “Remember the little moments like dis that were good” Tony Soprano. Us Sox fans have been spoiled in the 21st century and all I hope for is for Mr. Bloom to make us into a consistent winner not just a championship or bust kind of team
@@matthewtarpey8587 I respect the 2004 team like war veterans but the 2018 team won a franchise record 108 games while the 2004 team didn’t even win the division. Their comeback against the Yankees is unreal but the 18 team would never be down 3-0.
Every time I'm reminded that Manny Machado made the last out in this World Series, I get a little happier. Then, watching him flail at a pitch he knows is coming, he knows he shouldn't swing at, and he knows he almost certainly can't hit brings a smile.
JBJ could have his moments at the plate, he wasn’t a high average hitter but he was very streaky, he could really get hot and have some crazy hotstreaks. He’d go 1 for 30 in a series, but he’ll turn around and hit .500 in the next 10 games. In this playoff run, he was on fire. He was like Ted Williams at the plate.
You got me. I’m sure you thought they’d be in first place too after losing their entire outfield and not having Chris sale for more than half the season.
@@mshat18 yeah this turnaround has been a miracle tbh. They prolly won't do much in the postseason this year but the fact they're already in contention again is crazy.
@@dedenne1341 2018 was prob more dominant, but the fact that '04 bounced back from that ridiculously long drought makes me favor them a little bit more
@@cmh184 being down 0-3 to the Yankees after losing 19-8 in game 3 at Fenway park especially. Then in game 4 Dave Roberts stole a base then eventually scored to tie the game off Mariano Rivera to avoid a sweep is still mind blowing to me.
you know, I really ended up hating Ryan Brasier in the 2020s, but that moment where he told Gary Sanchez's fat ass to get in the box and then punching him out will always be one of my favorite moments from this postseason run
Bennintendi's catch to end ALCS Game 4 is one of the clutchest Red Sox moment ever.

God I’d do anything to rewatch this postseason again
wegotthecup11 same, it was epic
Boston dominated with a 108-54 record. Literally unstoppable in 2018.
Michael Terrell yea hopefully they will be better this season that season was so fun
Agreed, agreed, agreed!
Like without knowing what was gonna happen again
God I loved watching every game of these playoffs. definitely one of the most powerful red Sox teams ever
Zach Bianco I love the Sox
It’s sucks bc we no longer have mookie
Hyper X I’m a huge fan, I hate that we give away mookie, I’m very excited to watch dugie though, and see how the team performs
Ethan Farrell same
@@ethanfarrell313 They are resurging again
Amazing season all around. Watching these highlights is the only way to enjoy the Red Sox now a days....
I loved this team so much, that season was so fun man.
this season was so much fun to watch, me and my dad watched almost every game, feels like a week ago
the ryan braiser “get in the box” was fucking electric
The World Series parts got me in my feels 🥹😭 man I loved this team
Hopefully we can recapture this energy and win another because this feels so long ago compared to the current sox

Ya, maybe someone who was 16 might not have the insight to deem this the best team ever. Cmon dude. That 2004 team was better.

nope it didnt happen, GM Bloom was fired this off season (2023).

I'll bet Pedroia felt the same way...
I want mookie back
I want Moreland back
He is a free agent now
The Chris Sale dugout pep talk should've been thrown in here. But as a Red Sox fan, I miss this caliber of play all around.
Good times watching this 😢. Such an awesome team that year.
I’d love it even more if the music was removed , just my opinion !
Thanks for Sharing , and Let’s Go Red Sox’s
yeah way too much

Steve Pearce had a legendary postseason this year
JBJ popped off in the Post Season. I wish he was still in Boston. Crappy hitter, but insane outfielder.

We had a stack team in 2018
miss this
Such a fun year. Doubt I'll see one compare in my lifetime
We better enjoy this as Red Sox fans cause I don’t think we’ll be winning the series for a little while. They are a mess right now
lol

Wildcard baby!
Best Sox team I ever watched
My favorite Red Sox team ever
And then Bloom showed up…
that max kellerman part is wild.
Most dominating team I've ever seen. Atlana is building a similar dynasty
why is the music 2x louder than the commentary, should be the other way around...
Good vid
this team was so special 🥹
the music dude lock in
woah im watching this on a tuesday in feb. weird.
Could've gone without the music
Agreed. We should hear the sounds of the game, not music.
Miss this team
me as red sox fan watching this in 2024. so sadddddd
Max is such a troll yanks fan
2018 Red Sox were the most dominant team ever. Change my mind
2004 red sox. we're done here

I miss Brock holt he was mad underated
Couldn't watch this because the music drowned out commentary.brutal
where are they all now 😂
This 2018 Red Sox team was so stacked. I think talent wise it’s probably the best of the post 2000 era
All before covid 😔
This team kicked so much ass
20:57... Hey can we get an "honorable mention" for that wonderful pitcher Kenley Jensen? He probably finished second in Red Sox fans' voting.
more like Kershaw
Go red sox
One thing about Boston, they will come out of no where to win it all
Always happy to watch one of the best Red Sox teams ever, but the music…….. had to turn the volume down.
sorry to disappoint you bro i was 12 when i made this shit
Great highlights. Music is good, but it interfered with the video.
Should be more of a background feature, if at all.
What's the first song called?
Now kenleys a Red Sox and mooks a dodger lol
Papi cam was the best part
9:08 y’all saw him do the L
Pearce 🐐
Go sox

This Sox team had some sluggers anyone of them boys could’ve caught a homer at bat at any moment
😂
Coming back because the Red Sox don’t even know how to field a ball in 2021
Coming back because we first in the league now
16:35 why is that chick in the dodger hat cheering?
Love these highlight videos but why do they all have to have that horrible music. No need for any soundtrack.
What type of music is this? Toilet store music?
I could do without the music.
get rid of that music so we can enjoy the fan sounds
This would be sooooo much better without the music.

Dude.. get rid of the music. I don't watch highlights to hear music. I watch them to hear the raw excitement of the crowd. Nice try though.
Too bad the music is so hideous ... wtf were you thinking?
Make your own highlights then, people like you are so fucking annoying. If you're that annoyed get off your lazy ass and make it yourself
The only flaw is that they wore those red and blue uniforms
You don’t like those more than the greys?
What's with the annoying music?
Unbelievable how much better this would be without the stupid music
bro why you come back 7 months later to comment this
This music is the worst
Cheaters!
False
would be better with out the music tho right
