There's something really satisfying watching your work with the various fittings. Is great seeing the "weird and wonderful" stuff not seen here in Australia. Are the various discharge bulbs being manufactured or sold still? Cheers
That thing was built to last world war 3 and 4, there is street light in my place that was literally moss covered and literally hanging. But still somehow to light up
It's so nice to see one of these being relamped as opposed to replaced with LED.
An LED lamp is just that. A lamp. That uses 1/1000th the energy. They literally pay for themselves.
@@PseudoEmpathyyou see, led lights are often very poor quality and on top of that, they've become so common they're just boring at this point
LED IS GARBAGE

I think still produced. Many change to LED but not even europe is banning them at the moment.
And in Romania we had and still have such lamps
Didnt know they still used old fixtures and bulbs in 2024
LPS/SOX were discontinued in 2020 but HPS/SON is still in production I believe
I do this for a living, you should also wipe lens 😊

250W is bright enough, 70W is too dark!

Hi, 1️⃣👍😊
Being this high up scares me 😱😱😱😱😬😬😬
Should I coat my fiberglass fixture with mold resistant paint?
You can clean and sand the fixture an then paint it whatever color you want
you actually need to replace the whole lid because it has ecosystem on it
