  • I'm showing how I replaced my a/c evaporator and expansion valve. These were the remaining units I wanted to replace to get my a/c working properly. I think it was a good idea. I was able to clean out some of the dust and debris to keep my air flow clean.

    This is the closest I’ve got as to an accurate reference for what my Honda Civic DX 1993 needs in order start replacing/restoring my A/C (which more than likely is stock)

    Just note the o rings on the a/c lines that connect evap on fire wall are a special size like $10 each at honda. Nice video. Also I tried converting my 93 to 94-95 a/c certain parts don't fit

    Did you charge the system yourself? If so how much pag oil did you add?

      I charged it myself. The compressor should already come with pag oil.

      @@streemline13 Okay thanks, I saw that other parts of the a/c system should use some pag oil as it helps extend its life, from what I read looks like not much is added so I am just going to add a couple Oz of it to the system

    How did your A/C turn out? Was it worth the time and money? Is it cold/colder?

    • @streemline13
      @streemline13  3 года назад +3

      Civic a/c is not really know to be super cold. So it’s ok. Well worth the time especially here in Cali. I’ll be changing out my expansion valve again though. It seems like it’s getting stuck.

      @@TheHernande123 if its contaminated with metal shavings then no. you will have to replace the receiver dryer, condenser, ac compressor, rubber hoses, clean the evaporator core, replace the expansion valve and clean all of the hard lines if you dont want premature failure
