URC and Top 14 are the most entertaining in my opinion, super rugby is killing itself they've separated themselves from the rest of the world and put themselves in a choke point.
Super rugby only exists as a base for internationals to build from, it makes sense for them to be combined as they’re just parts of a single thing. Makes it harder for my league’s bigger than your league argument though I guess. Also worth noting that super rugby competes with nrl (poorly) for viewers not the other union comp because the game time.

Super Rugby. A competition that actually shrinks the game rather than growing it. The NRL couldn't have come up with a better advert for Rugby League. More people in the world care about the latest Bulldogs Rabbitohs result than the entire Super Rugby Comp put together. And that goes for NZ too judging by the crowds.
LOL! Not Super Rugby. Best advert for Rugby League out there. The NRL couldnt have dreamed up any better themselves. A competition neither players nor fans care about at all.
Did the cat interrupt your conclusion!? When I’ve casually channel hopped onto a Top14 match, there is no colour difference on the scorecard, so unless you know the teams well, you don’t know who is actually winning! I can’t decide if this made me want to watch until somebody scored to figure out who was who, or change channel faster! 🤷♂️
Going to change in 2025 when URC agreements change to incl South African teams which it hasnt until now. Incl the international figures for SR seems a nonsense loading of the figures favour/make SR look better than it really is.
How do you see the power between the leagues shifting in the next few years?

It does feel like NZ is shrinking in on itself

Top 14 could dominate if only they improved their product in English and marketing outside France
The French do seem to only care about the domestic market, but i agree they could expand considerably by increasing their english language output

I think its going to be rough for club rugby because of the respective players unions in each country negotiate for better slice of the pie

You would expect the URC deal to increase, but we’ll see
@@HuwGriffinRugby Considering the latest round of fanbase data for SA, reckon gonna be sizable growth indeed
