A super video showing how you made your stools. I love the fact that you pointed out your mistakes and how you made adjustments. That’s always a part of woodworking and people need to see the problem solving in action. The stools look like they are perfect for your balcony.

In short, a testament to your teaching skills! Thank you for all of the great videos over the years! It looks better with the seat slats hanging over a bit, and most of these types of chairs I've seen have a bit of overhang, so I can see why you thought it should be that way. Cool build. I like your improvisation with getting those weird angles to work with the equipment you have.

Hey April your shop is looking great.
If I may suggest when doing half-lap joints, take it to the compound mitre saw and set the depth of cut. The put start and stop blocks at either end, set the mitre angle - the make 1/8 to 1/4" cuts all the way from start to finish. You'll be left with a bunch of little cards you can knock them out with a hammer.
You're then left with two options, smooth the rabbet with a chisel or router or my preference is to put them back on the saw and slide the rabbet between stops the saw blade will scrape the remaining ridges away and leave you with a nice smooth rabbet.
Hint when doing that, is to put a spacer against the fence a 2by is enough then you don't have to flip the work piece .

Nice work. I enjoy your honesty when making a mistake. I’ve been a woodworker for 55 years and it’s a rare project that works exactly as planned ...as I planned anyway. As a woman your age I’m surprised you didn’t go solar powered. If you do plan it I haven’t heard it mentioned in your podcasts.
You have a lot of years of projects in your future so solar is an investment that will pay for itself many times in your shop. Keep the great projects coming.

I love Jay Bates version and used his as inspiration for my own, but I'd also be very interested in seeing your Dream station, particularly since we've now seen you Dream Shop come to fruition and you most definitely have the room for it...lol.
