I think this also has a lot to do with smurfs and bad matchmaking. Like, yeah, if you're in a Bronze lobby and the enemy Widow is hitting consistent headshots, your first thought is going to be they're cheating. Because no Bronze is going to have that good of aim. But it could just be a smurf. Or, in quick play, a stack of top 500 against a team of Bronzes (has happened multiple times to friends). Also a lot of cheats can be subtle. There was one game I had a few days ago where the Widow always hit me as soon as I came out of Invis on Sombra or the second I recalled on Tracer after I killed her like four times in a row. No matter where I was, she would flip and headshot me. But then I noticed immediately after that she would miss shots on my Hog and couldn't headshot anyone else to save her life, even if they were standing still. To me, this is a toggling hacker who seen me as a threat when I started rolling her, but to everyone else, she would just seem like a typical Widow who everyone continued to ignore. So when I called hacker, no one believed me. This is a problem with gaming in general. Even with anti cheats, cheaters still sneak by because cheats vary a lot. One can be detected by the anti cheat but then they make another one that has a code that isn’t recognized by the game. A headshot percentage autoban isn’t going to work. Haven’t you had a game where you just didn’t miss many shots? Where the synergy just hit and you popped off? Imagine if that game got you banned cause you hit too many headshots. Even cheats can be set up so they miss a few times so it isn’t so obvious. That just wouldn’t do anything. You cannot completely get rid of cheating. Ask apex, ask dbd, ask valorant, ask tf2, ask COD… expecting ow to end cheating in general is like expecting a specific doctor to end cancer no matter how many others can’t. I've seen ML7 do the same thing to Sombras as Ana and everyone says "he's just good at predicting the Sombra's position". So what's the difference between this cheater and ML7?
There is a major difference with predicting and this. I play a lot of sombra, so I tend to predict where an enemy Sombra could be or what they would do. Recently I had a match, I was tracer. Saw that we were all leaving our Ana behind and I was like "this is the perfect play for a sombra", so I turned back, shot to where my Ana was and revealed the Sombra. Other way is by her translocator, you see her use it and you could be like "this sombra is gonna end up coming out this way" and get the shot. Here, the sombra is not even setting up a play nor anything, she's just standing to see if the Ana has walls. I've done this myself, completely random spots that do not set up a play at all
