Who remembers the actual ORIGINAL Flan's Mod where the guns weren't 3D at all. In the original Flan's Mod the guns were 2D like the other tools and had absolutely abysmal hit detection with the bullets. I believe it was released in 2012 but correct me if I'm wrong. Before this, "gun mods" were literally just shitty re-textured bows with some added plug-ins if you were lucky.
Maybe for Bedrock edition only. Bedrock edition is like the younger child whose parents only pay actual attention to. If that was the case, hundreds of thousands of servers would go offline too, even Hypixel’s. It goes even further, since Minecraft is a freestyle sandbox building game, ANYONE can build something offensive like a giant p*nis and it still wouldn’t make sense for them to get sued. I doubt they’ll take it that far considering how difficult is is for a game corporation get sued for a mod that they’re not even promoting in first place.
Thats not a very good financial decision I think because a lot of people will leave minecraft just because of this, and also stop targeting minecraft only at kids, the moddinf community offers a whole lot more than that.
Call 2 Battle was another banger. Shame it doesn’t get updates anymore. Also, I think it may have been Vic’s gun mod, but I faintly remember NPCs with guns spawning at random to try to hunt down players. They could shoot through windows and everything; it was as if Minecraft had a Detroit or Waianae mode. Good times.
I like Vic’s modern warfare. It’s the only mod that adds in magazines, and for some strange reason no other mod does. With the Modern warfare cubed mod, you can hide the hud for how much ammo you have. Which makes it more immersive because you have to unload the magazine to check. Sadly it’s stuck on 1.12.2 but at least it has a bunch of good mods. I only wish for Modern warfare cubed to add in different bullets or shells like slugs or weapon malfunctions/durability. But from what I know they aren’t.

Best gun mod experience on the modern versions are probably Scorched Guns with MrCrayfish's Gun Mod, The guns fit so well with Create's aesthethic and uses vanilla materials, A lot of guns too.
