Enjoy a ride on DINOSAUR at Walt Disney world's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! This ride is located in the Dinoland U.S.A area of the theme park and opened April 22, 1998. When the ride first opened it was originally named Countdown to Extinction, but the name was changed to Dinosaur in 2000 to promote the Disney animated feature film of the same name. The ride system, vehicles and track layout is the same as the Indiana Jones Adventure ride at the Disneyland Resort.
