Front kick defense! Two styles one technique!

The more I explore other styles the more similar they begin to look. Kata has so many techniques that resemble moves from other disciplines. For instance, in Muay Thai they catch the front kick and follow up with different counter attacks. You can see this same technique in kata. It is clear this is catching the front kick and following up with a counter attack. Catching the front kick seems so common it’s hard to imagine it would not be in kata. Simple and effective.
