@@Honey511Bee she was advised to join a nunnery many times but refused all times as it was believed that joining a nunnery would annul her marriage or something. Post-Henry she was ordered to live many places but i believe none of them were nunnerys??
@@yeoldespacebuns4350 (late reply) I think there were a couple of former religious houses owned by the crown where she lived during her exile. This was normal, as episcopal (church) palaces were often as fine, or finer, than royal ones. KAragon refused to enter a nunnery (which was what queens facing annulment were expected to do) because she claimed she felt no calling to a religious order (ie. it was not her vocation to be a nun). Unspoken in that refusal is her probable belief that (1) Henry was simply having an affair with Anne Boleyn, (2) would return to her, and (3) couldn't annul the marriage anyway because Katherine's nephew (Charles V of the HRE) controlled the Pope.
