      They probably used like a pto, which uses pistons to change the gear contact with one sub system to another, If you are confused, look at 4082B tipping point explanation and go look at the BLRS wiki website, trust me, BLRS is a lifesaver, looking at robots that are old Is important as they basically use the same building principles, but in different applications, and try to not be a jack of all trades, make a simple, well tuned robot, and drive/program asap. The best way to find out about a new game is to scrimmage asap, and 1 test is more then 10000 experts opinion. Notebook is a key factor, go to 515r's,10C, or 214171a's notebook explanation to get an idea. I f you are new to vex, pto system might not be a good idea if your robot does not perform consistently. That should be all, thanks for listening -Shivansh 3324T

      So the arm and the drivetrain use 6 motors together. This is using the PTO (transmission system) that we describe in the video. Then we have one motor for ring conveyor and one to actuate the high goal scoring mech. Total = 8motors

    Did you use ROS or just purely microcontrollers? If yes, how did you communicate between ROS master with other microcontrollers? Could you share the brand and products of rangefinder, vision sensors being used?

      all of the sensors are Vex products

      All made by VEX as part of their V5 & V4 (Cortex) product lines

      All of the electronics and sensor are of VEX vrc V5 brand, you can find details of their electronics and communication protocols on their website.

    just a quick question but how did you get the gear connected to the lift to lock?

    Hey, what was happening with the neutral state on the PTO? I'm a little confused on what it is

    • @andrewkang6081
      @andrewkang6081 2 года назад +2

      in the neutral state shifting gears are disconnected, the motor isn't connected to anything

      pretty much like putting a car in neutral
