Thanks Nan!!! I'm still basking in the glow of meeting you. We have to do another adventure. If you are ever interested in coming to Alaska, we would love to have you and Dave stay with us.
Good cover. I agree with other comment that you give a spirited performance. Your "hah" is worthy of Nancy Sinantra But, please append a brief tutorial on how to do riff. Detailed info on what both hands are doing. Plus strum pattern
Phyllis, are you a patron? I did a group lesson for my patrons at the let’s learn a skill reward tier going over how to do that riff. I did this video before I was doing my full-time teaching on the ukulele long time ago.
@@TheUkuleleFool No, I am not a Patron. But, I am a Subscriber to your videos. I have been an active subscriber for a year. I became a Subscriber to your RUclips channel right after I purchased my first ukulele 13 months ago. The first of your videos I watched & studied was aimed at children - teaching them about the strap buttons & how to hold the ukulele. Then, you progressed to teaching the song "Water Come to Me Eye." I don't remember if I learned to play "Coconut" from you or another YT channel.
When I do lick: My C string gives a buzz sound near the bridge in a couple of spots when I pluck. What is wrong with my technique? Strings dont buzz when I strum
Interesting. Strings buzz they are too close or touching something and they set off vibrations that are not what we want. I suggest taking your ukulele in for a specialized look, or upgrading to a better uke.
A spirited and inviting performance. Good for you, Lisa!

I used to sing this too! When my older, teen siblings had friends over, they “allowed” me to change the 45’s. This was one of my favorites!
45's!!!!!! Blast from the past.
I loved it also. Fun song.
Thanks for the reminder - I can add this to my tabs class this weekend.
