I’m looking at buying a new machine. I currently run 2 series 3, 3900s. The display doesn’t work on either of them and that’s just fine by me. I’m pretty old school and don’t really care for all the auto layout and auto gun stuff. That being said though when I buy a new one it will come with some of those features. I’m curious though abut the HS series. Is the a huge difference between the 130HS and say a V 3900 or 5900?

The LineLazer HS130 has a stripped down control with less features. The 130 also can't be ordered with automatic features. The 130 is often the choice for the contractor who just wants a stripped down durable striper. The LineLazer V 200 HS the big brother of the 130HS and can be ordered with automatic features.
The paint pump on the 130 is powered via a Hydraulic fluid system. The 3900 and 5900 aren't Hydraulic units and have a clutch and direct drive off of the Honda motor.
Both are great choices the 3900 and 5900 are lighter... The hydraulic units (130 &200) are heavier and the pumps are larger and often need less long term maintenance. Both great choices but if you are looking for automatics 3900,5900 or 200 HS.
One last note we also have automatic features on our newer LineLazer ES 2000 which is an electric version similar to the 3900. Please note the ES uses Lithium ion Batteries the weight is higher and in most cases would be used with a Graco Line Driver. In most cases as is the 200 HS due to weight and pushing the unit a whole day.

Auto Layout sucks. If you've ever seen a set of plans you know you need human judgement.

Actually often concrete pours or asphalt is not identical to plans. Also even if the plans say call out a stall 9'3" wide. You still have to measure and mark all stalls.
The LLV can just be set to that distance and removes the measurementnand marks. The best advantage is reduced labor of marking a whole lot with chalk and a tape measure. An employee can start to paint curbs and stencils vs being bent over with a piece of chalk and a tape measure.
However, even if you don't want that feature set you can still order our LineLazer V as a standard unit. The LL standard doesn't not have the extra features or the Lazer. We give you the option......
most contractors that do a lot of new construction specifically buy the automatics.
Contractors who just do restriping jobs often prefer standards.

@@andrewfernandez5062 - Would love to see that. Is there a video? We don't use chalk because we might layout and not come back for a few days/weeks. The chalk is always gone. We use upside down paint. For restripes obviously we use nothing.
