This is even more heartbreaking when you realise he's not using his full strength against Harry because he feels guilty and doesn't want to hurt him. These are the kind of mistakes Peter does in comics and they respected that here...
If I were Spider Man I wouldn't just use my full strength to eliminate Harry.

At 5:36 is soul crushing when I first seen this movie I wasn’t over the original franchise even tho this movie had a lot of errors they also did so much right and this is definitely the darkest Spider-Man moment ever
What makes this scene even more haunting is when you realize that Captain Stacy told Peter to keep Gwen out of his superhero business for this exact reason.
If Sony green-lights Amazing Spider-Man 3, you can probably predict that the Stacy family will have filed a restraining order against Parker to avoid losing another family member.

I have a love/hate relationship with this scene. On the one hand, it’s one of the best directed scenes in any Spider-Man movie ever. It’s so perfectly acted; you can feel Gwen’s fear, and at one point you can see that she’s accepted her fate. And Peter’s reaction is just gut wrenching. It truly breaks my heart every single time. But on the other hand, it hurts so much to watch. Gwen and Peter are possibly the best couple in a superhero movie ever, so that makes losing her all the worse. They felt like they genuinely loved each other, and all of those feelings come rushing back to hit you in the heart right here(I feel about this as most people feel about Jack Dawson dying in Titanic). It’s truly an amazing scene that gets its point across phenomenally, but for that exact reason it hurts just as much as any scene like this ever will

One of the most emotional scenes in any movie I've ever watched in all of film and Superhero films. Every time I see this scene it makes me want to cry for Peter in every way possible. Gwen didn't deserve to die at all. I'm glad Peter got his redemption years later.

It says a lot, not just about the movie but, about the character itself, how Peter (Spiderman) no matter how hard he tries he won't be able to save everyone sometimes, in this case that event broke him, but as Peter says: he always finds a way to come back
It was kinda his fault to 1. He didn’t listen or respect her dying dad’s wishes . 2. He put her right below where he was fighting another super something was bound to sadly happen
Now everyone knows that Andrew was already an amazing Spider-Man but no-one has appreciated DeHaan's Goblin yet. His design was creepy but his acting was amazing too. Dafoe can't be compared but DeHaan is extremely underrated

The aftermath of watching no way home hits all the guts of fans of seeing the heartbroken and guilt of Andrew’s spidey couldn’t save Gwen, luckily very glad andrew came back in action as Spidey and gets his moment of redemption.

Gwen Stacy's fall was so beautifully shot in slow mo for maximum dramatic effect. A similar scene is Spider-man No Way Home when Peter-3 saves MJ after a fall off the Statue of Liberty was not as well done and was a quick I'm falling, then Saved.

This death scene is perfect in my book we see Peter trying his best trying to keep her as safe as he can even stopping time like he was doing trough out the movie but ended up breaking it in the proces and then he tries his best he is doing everything he can even with the web turning into a hand it gets ya you can feel the desperation of him making it and saving gwen but at the end we see that even Spider-Man can mess up and that he is not invincible and can’t save everyone that’s the hardest part about being spiderman you can’t always save everyone at the same time that’s why I love this scene
The intensity within this battle of Spider-Man and Green Goblin is just heart pounding when you have Gwen in real danger! Until the moment the web didn't reach on time is the most heart breaking scene in all Spider-Man films.. The chemistry and dynamic between Peter and Gwen were over the roof. Just saddens me everytime I see this scene go down.. IMO, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy was the best true love out of all Spider-Man's cinematic Girl friends which all of them are great, but Gwen Stacy is the best!

The web shot coming out and taking the shape of a hand is so insanely well done, incredibly sad, and really conveys how hard Peter is trying to reach out to save her in this scene.

I think initially they had Harry either cut the web or snap Gwen's neck instead, that would've been so messed up.
This scene was so heartbreaking. I remember returning home from the theater, and I just couldn't go to sleep that night. For the next few days, all I could think about was that she died, I became so distracted by my thoughts that I even failed a couple tests at school. Before watching, I had already predicted she was gonna die, but actually seeing it happen before my eyes was just traumatizing....

Peter 1 is Tom Holland, he never met Harry Osborn. Peter 2 is Tobey, he would probably feel a lot of things. Probably Déjà vu first, from his Harry becoming a goblin as well, but also heartbroken seeing this version of Harry being one of the reasons why Peter 3 lost his love.

I was shattered when I heard that TASM 3 won't be happening and Andrew will no longer be playing as Spiderman, part of me always wanted to see how Peter from TASM series coupe with all that grief but I never got to see it but NWH showed me what my boy went through and when he saved MJ from the fall I felt that both mine and Andrew's redemption arc was completed, we both now don't need TASM3 to share our feeling because NWH showed us that both Andrew and TASM fans were just made for each other and we were driven out unjustly 😢

I felt bad for spider man he couldn't save gwen the last person he loved. He lived with that guilt for a very long time. And he blames himself to this day. In Spiderman's eye, he knew at that moment that if he didn't catch her, this time, he would never forgive himself.

People hated Andrew and Marc Webb just because the screenplay of this movie was a mess. But they never tried to see how great was Andrew Garfield in these movies. This scene is brilliantly acted and directed and will be my most favorite sequence from a Spider-Man movie. Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man for me and for many.
The tasm2 writing is bad compared to 1. Lizard is far better than electro in the tasm series ( but in no way home, the screenplay gives more importance to electro). There were lot of confusion and introducing harry as new goblin was in a rush which further degraded the screen time of electro. The writers made the storyline complex with many other elements. The Peter Parker in the movie didn't worked well with the TASM. There were lags in the movie, especially the scenes with harry was boring with no wow factor. The costumes, CGI action choreography, background score, cinematography and Andrews spidey worked very well. But the script was just average. The climax is exceptionally good and written well.
Hope Sony is going to make Tasm 3 and it will be one of the best movie ever in spiderman franchise.
@@jerinjohn-vr5ei yeah, TASM1 is actually a well written movie. TASM2 was bloated with multiple plotlines. But I'm sure if there were no studio interference, the film would've been a lot better. And they should've wait till a third movie before turning Harry into the Goblin. I also disagree about Electro having a better writing in NWH. He was just a 'multiverse guy'. He barely was a character and had any depth.
