I'm not a fan of Reese. I'm a fan of sports. If she spent half as much time polishing her game as she making drama she would be one of the best players in the W. She gets a lot of offensive rebounds. An important distinction since she also shoots 30% in the paint. Meaning that a lot of her rebounds are from her own misses. If those shots start going in the first time her overall efficacy goes up and teams have to defend her more aggressively, potentially opening up opportunities for her team. Sure her rebounds go down but her assist go up. In her LSU victory over Clark she shot at a low % and also was the 5th scorer on her own team. While CC was the the top scorer in the game. So these problems for Angel Reese aren't new. What she has going for her is size and quick feet. So if she cleaned up the wholes in her game she has a lot potential. Right now she is a lot of talk and other people are doing the work to back up her trash talk.
Dude Clark is shooting 37% … Reese was in foul trouble in the championship game and didn’t play majority of the 3rd qt but before she got in foul trouble Iowa couldn’t hold her, I remember hearing the commentators of the game kept saying “Angel Reese has come to play” bc she was balling. It’s impressive that Reese can literally get her own rebound and put em back up. To be able to out will and out hustle the opposing team and snatching rebounds is top tier

The feat is watered down if she’s the recipient of her own misses. Nothing skillful about that. She has a high motor, yeah, but so does A. Boston (14-8-2). Clark has more blocks than Reese and she’s a defensive liability.
Similar to Magic & Bird being the faces but MJ being hyped coming into the league. He had the it factor. It helped earn all those guys $$.. Clark can’t help the that her “it” factor is that fact that she’s white.
Ionescu, Arike, & Jewell all had much better rookie debuts than Clark/Reese. All shared the spotlight to a degree with a [white] counterpart that was drafted their same year. all resulted in the WNBA losing $$..

@@jrod9729 “foul trouble” sounds like a personal problem. Shaq was in foul trouble in the tourney in 92 - nobody cared. He lost to Indiana. Not a single one of those guys made the league. They were a better team with one leader. A lot like Iowa. That team made the final 4 ONE time in history. Made it back2back with Clark as the star. Yeah they lost, but her legend was born. Don’t forget LSU transfer portal that led to that dominance.
