    As much as Vital's design for this game is a mix of simplicity and complexity, you got to commend Ian O'Toole's brilliant artwork. The guy simply has good synergy with Lacerda's creations and kudos to this channel for mentioning him a good amount.

    • @evatar4052
      @evatar4052 Год назад +2

      I think the synergy is so strong because Ian actually playtests these games and knows them inside out from a player's perpective. I think its so cool to have the artist so involved!

    Fourth time watching this video. Thank you for such a thorough rules teach. I finally pulled the trigger on this one and The Gallerist because of them!

    I am trying to get Lisboa to the table but the rulebook is overwhelming and other tutorials I watched didn't make it any easier (and we mostly play heavy games!). But the teaching part of this video is fantastic. I haven't finished it yet but I get the game much better now. Thank you!

    Fantastic tutorial and play through. I adore The Gallerist, and I'm looking forward to Lisboa arriving next week. My gut tells me - without having read the rulebook - that it is significantly more complex than The Gallerist, which I found weighty, well-integrated, and fairly low-luck. Oh Vital, you whiz, you.

    2:24:00 you take a second decree when getting a decree as a bonus figured on the board, I though it was possible to take a second decree with a cube when using the noble action take a decree. Am i right ?? thanks.
    Edit : i read on BGG that it's possible to use a cube to take another decree for all the actions that gives you a decree including bonus etc. not only the noble action. Vital himself answered to this question and it's writen in the aid....
    2:42:03 here is a mistake i think. You have to adjust the prices of the goods only when producting them, not when you sell them.
    2:46:00 you follow without spending influence. To follow you have to spend influence even if you don't have to use goods.

    Hi there. Good explanation. But next time, may i suggest you start with "rebuilding the city of Lisbon, Portugal" instead of "rebuilding the city of Lisbon, Spain"?
    You're welcome.
    And thanks for sharing 👍.
    Take care!

      It will not, Steve. We'll have copies at various Cons that we go to, as will EGG too. I know nothing more than that right now.

    Can you really play a card to sell goods to your card that you want to discard to play the first 1?(the ship)
    When I read the rules, I really got the feeling that when you play a card while already being at max capacity, you would first discard a card to play a card, so that you dont have 3 active cards. Am I wrong?

    Is there a rule for following another player? I mean in what order plays the follow action?Who goes first in following?And on your portfolio, the rubble set why it has 5 locations if the game ends when you completed the fourth set?

    • @TheThrillDudeVideos
      @TheThrillDudeVideos 7 лет назад +1

      Istvan Fazakas you follow in turn order and 4 sets triggers last round not end of game still A chance to get more rubble.

    When u produced gold, u had a building that said u can get another good, but u also had a clergy tile yet u took only 2 golds. Why is that? So u produced one gold and u had the 2 bonuses. So u could have 3 goods, am i right or i misunderstand something?

    • @Heavycardboard
      @Heavycardboard  7 лет назад +3

      You're 100% correct...BUT, I hadn't cleared a set of rubble cubes (one of each kind) which means I only had a storage capacity of 2. Had I cleared a set of rubble, each set adds +1 to my storage capacity of each good (and increases by 1, the number of cards I can have in my portfolio/tableau, too). I hope that helps and thanks a bunch for watching!

    Just a little correction, purtuguese is not the same language as Spanish, so you can pronounce José with the English J sound (like jeep or even John) it still won't be the correct sound, but will be way more similar than the Spanish pronunciation 😉

      I really feel like the layouts in Lacerdas games often are more of a hindrance for new players than the rules, they are such a mess of information.
