  • Jane Seymour interview (1985). In this candid interview, English actress Jane Seymour provides glimpses into her career and personal life. She begins by recalling a “most embarrassing” screen test moment with actor Richard Chamberlain, which likely caused her to be passed over for a sought-after role. She then responds to a question about the challenges of handling rejection in the competitive acting world. Next, Seymour describes actively working to break free from the “Bond Girl” stereotype after playing the iconic role of James Bond’s love interest in the film “Live and Let Die.” Seymour's ability to convincingly adopt a mid-western American accent is then highlighted. She also reflects on her public persona. Notably, at the time of this interview, Seymour was expecting her second child. 🅲🅲 / @tvcrewguy

This is 2024. I just came across this interview. I have no idea what Jane was thinking of when she auditioned for the role of Maggie. Just had a baby three months prior and breastfeeding? I think Rachel Ward was the perfect actress to play Maggie. She and Richard had great chemistry. Jane is a sour loser. She said she had never watched the Thorn Birds.
