This is my first attempt at forging a blacksmith's split cross. My Etsy: www.etsy.com/a... Instagram: / lg_fine.craftsmanship Music/affiliate link: www.epidemicso... Thanks for watching!
Nice split cross Luke. I have made a bunch out of 1/4" square stock for keychains or to wear around the neck. I split them with my bandsaw or cut them with a hack saw. I made one out of a railroad spike and mounted it to a base for a friend. I also bought some 1/4" square copper and cut and split it for a cross neckless for my mom. They are fun to make. Good job.
Thanks Gary! I wanted to try doing some smaller ones as well, but I wasn't sure how I would cut them efficiently, I guess a hack saw is a pretty simple way of doing it lol.
@@lukegraham1945 I bought one of those cheaper Harbor Freight band saws about 5 years ago. I leave the swing arm up and built a simple shelf so I can just feed things into it. Before that it was either hacksaws or grinders. ;)
Please let me know what you think below!
Hey Luke, I like the cross, with equal parts you gave it a unique touch, thanks for sharing and take care👍
Thanks Lufe! I'll take that into consideration, I hope you're doing well!
Looks great luke!
Thanks Alex, appreciate it!

Haha sure was, thanks for watching!
What's it used for? Decorative or a tool?
Just decorative, and as a way to practise my skills.
