i'm really struggling right now as i came back to faith 9 months ago but now im struggling to navigate denominations and the arguments are so polemical on every side its kind of sad and im really getting sort of depressed over it
@glorirem Trust God. He has a plan. I'm a Catholic Christian, but would there be various denominations if God wanted there not to be? Maybe. I cannot get my head around it either. If God expected us to understand completely before saving us, none of us would be saved. We're saved, rather, by God's grace. Whichever church you decide to attend, if you hear something against another denomination, I'd not think about it too much. Unless you're called to apologetics. I'm called, instead, to bible study and Faith and I'm working on cultivating my Hopefulness. God is leading you to Him. Trust, cooperate and be obedient. That's enough.
Good video, I appreciate your perspective. The internet has become a cesspool of vitriol. People come online just to push people's buttons or trigger them. I admit that in fact, I have done that in the recent past. There is something satisfying, at least momentarily, about making someone upset by being opposed to their beliefs and telling them they are wrong, and watching them react and say why I am the one who is wrong. It's kind of sad, but it allows us to feel more secure, momentarily, about our own beliefs. I am an atheist myself. I grew up around religion. Religion is one of those things that is personal for each person. For me to assume that I can make a person change their mind about what they believe, is wrong. Instead, I can engage in discussion with others, but the main purpose should be to learn and understand, and have compassion. The moment that I try to change someone, the conversation becomes about me and my selfishness, rather than trying to help the other person, or just listen to them. There is a reason each of us believe what we do. Maybe it's our upbringing, maybe it's a experience we had at a certain point in our lives. But everyone has the right to believe what they want, and pursue what makes them happy. On the flip side, we all have an obligation to be kind to one another and not impose our beliefs onto others, especially those who do not wish to have our beliefs imposed on them. I like the Bible verses you chose. I have been reading the Bible lately, after not reading from it for about 2 decades.
@@brekedekdang39 Thank you for your beautiful response. I also have uncharitable internet interactions. You're 100÷ right that it is our selfishness seeping in. Bless you. Today, for me, you are an angel from God.
@SenseiLaSigma you created a new channel today to say that? Genesis P Orridge was a prog rock band in the 70s. Not sure anybody can shock anybody again after that.
