That Thoreau guy knew how to turn a phrase. Great job, Dan!
Thanks brother. What a wonderful miracle and way to show the interpretation of the law needs to take into account love.
@YIO777 Yes! GOD is Love!

@@GUCCINewYorK yes!

@sonjagaither3814 thank you! May the Lord bless you today as well.
I switched my diet to Plant-Based initially for health reasons and to help lose weight, but the ethical and environmental issues are why I continue this lifestyle. Great stuff as always Dan.
😍😍😍 Look at them, living their little life 💚
@@swiftshrike isn't it great!
i never liked to eat meat or sausages, for the first 40 years of my life i was a sugar junkie. Mainly for health reasons i changed into wholefood plant based eating.........had maybe 2 or 3 relapses, but i am claean for the last 11 years. There is no doubt, that i am fitter than 20 years ago
@justanoldfashionedrunner605 you're an inspiration. Truly. I have had relapses. But also times I've gone back to eating fish. But mostly vegetarian for more than 20 years, firstly for environmental concerns. But I've definitely had more relapses than I think most people have, and I cannot get off of my cheese addiction.
@@Shevock i got lucky to have some key moments in my life. The first was at 5 years old, when my aunt send a package with several parts of my favorite cow Tekla from there small farm in it for us to eat. Even at that young age i knew exactly what was going on, and i could not pat and feed my cow Tekla and than eat her a few months later. The other one was more subtle as I noticed that something was wrong with my stomach after each weekend, when i had more than the usual quantities of cheese, which happened to be a lot, as i love to eat cheese. I tried it out and felt so much lighter and happier around my belly, when i had no cheese, no milk, no jogurth 3 days in a row. I now have one small piece of cheese on a Friday or Sunday, when i eat at my neighors, but i don`t buy any, knowing i would eat the whole pack within 2 days. .......the best way to minimize the risk of relapse is to prohibite the opportunity as much as possible. There is no sugar, no sweats, no jam, no maple sirup, no nothing with refined carbs in the house, also no gels, bars, no products where sugar has been used to conserve like mixed pickles, .......and still, i know there is no healing, it will be a struggle as long as i live, and i have to accept the risk of a relapse as part of my life, and never ever beat myself up for it.
There is one more thing i want to be clear about.(I hope i use the suitable words to make my point) It is very important and good for us to have a lot of physical activity to keep our body healthy and in a good fitnes. I want to name that competitive sports with either no competition or only on a limited bass.I can be competitive without competing in races In contrary to that there is high performance sports, which is unhealthy and not supporting our fitnes, but risking our health for a higher standing among others and pampering our ego instead of helping us to a better health. For the first option changing the amount and intensity in some way is a good stimulus, in the second case the goal is to squeeze the last little bit of performance out of our bodies
i don`t do anything extra on a weekend than during the week. As far as i know my heart, it is doing the same actions each hour of my life, and i try not to disturb my heart with overcooking my running......i guess this trend to do more on a weekend started with people, who had a 9 to 5 job not willing to do any major amount of sports during the week and pushing most activities into the weekend.....which of course does not serve any purpose other to betray ourselves and let us feel better
Yes
Good job most people don't even know what the fuck you're talking about you might want to lay down for them let him know what a 30 lb ruck is I used to do that everyday with 100 lb before I got hit by an SUV used to be honest but I walked like 2 or 3 me at least at least with that amount of weight
@jessieharden-vu1mm thanks for the suggestion! How horrible to get hit by a car!!! I have a friend who was hit riding his bike a year ago and is only now back to walking more normally. 100 pound rucking is pretty serious! You're a tough one! You're right I should explain it more and why I'm at 35 lbs for my everyday ruck, etc.
Hello enjoy good evning sir

@cosmicdustparticle7481 thank you.
Qotd: Before dawn in the summer. I've had my worst heat blow-ups on steamy mornings when the sun was low in the sky and lifting the moisture off the ground, so I want to be done before then. In the winter, I'll go later when it's had a chance to warm up some and I don't have to deal with as wide a range of temperatures since I'm warmer later in the run anyway. As for the uphill/downhill thing, I don't know either.🙁 I'm not doing well at them myself this summer.
@largeeddie interesting about the morning heat.
@@Shevock It destroys me, like trying to run in a sauna. People say to get out in the morning before it gets too hot, but I'd take my chances at 4 PM when it's >90° and <50% humidity, when perspiration does something useful, over that every time.
Nice run, nice reading, nice little bunny!
@@largeeddie it was a cute rabbit.
Re-establishing the routine! I'm noticing how much less daylight we have already. Great job, Dan!
@@largeeddie yeah, I wish there were more daylight.
Nothing with the word Work in it for me...... Just the usual run
@@justanoldfashionedrunner605 great!
Hello
@@Noxyyuh hi.
Oh, shoveling snow is easier by far. If I get hot, I can take off my jacket, and that's not an option when I'm not wearing a jacket. Also, if I put it off long enough the sun might melt most of the snow, which isn't going to happen with mulch.😄
@largeeddie true!
Great job by both of you! My standard line is that getting wet is worse than being wet. You get rained on and then you're wet and that's what it is. If you were swimming you'd be even wetter, and people love to swim.
@@largeeddie I love to swim!
You're doing a lot better at exercising and vlogging every day than I am at keeping up with your videos! But I appreciate them and I'm trying to get caught up. Great work, Dan!
@@largeeddie Thanks for watching! I vlog to keep myself accountable! You are a great help to me.
Great job keeping up your running. Thank you for the reading.
@@RunFreeandStrong Thanks for your support!
So cool. I like it!! 🔥
@@OSMOneStepMore pretty sturdy shoe so far.
We were actually Downtown later this day that you shot the video. Then we went to Antonio's on Brookline. Amazing Vegan pizza there. Love those trails and Point State Park. Rode the incline as well. I think I only posted those videos on FB though. Should have done YT too. Such a great city though. We are very happy to be over in this area now.
@@ChrisThePlantBasedRunner I taught in West Liberty Elementary, speaking of Brookline. I was there when 9/11 happened.
perjalanan yang menyenangkan kawan👍
THANK YOU!
i don`t have any duties. In the summer half i am outside at 6:30 AM and during the winter i start at / AM my cadence uphill, flat and downhill is the same within the same run, i just change my stride length, and i focus to keep the stride on the uphill short and snappy
@justanoldfashionedrunner605 some day I'll be there too! Hopefully.
Nice tour, Dan. Thanks for linking to the 21 bench video 🙂👍 I tend to let myself wake up naturally at the weekend to make sure I'm fully rested. The runs tend to start about 7:30 or 8am. If you're trying to get the pace up again after a hill, i try to push my hips a bit further forward to get the speed up 🏃♂️
@markg99 so I intended to do the 21 bench challenge this morning, but because it was 5:30 am my brain wasn't working well enough to remember until after the sun came up.
That looked like a tough one! Kudos for sticking with it.
@@largeeddie just at the end. It made today's 11 miler easier.
You kept the streak alive through some tough days. Great job, Dan!
@@largeeddie yeah, there will be tougher.
Get exercise and also explore a city. There's no better way to see the sights, and with GPS mapping getting lost shouldn't be a problem the way that it used to be. My thought watching this was that there was an incredible amount of money in that city a hundred years ago.
@@largeeddie Right!!!

Sunday not the day God commanded us to keep
@user-ko6yc6zi9e the Sabbath is Saturday. But Jesus rose on Sunday, the first day, the new Adam and we are to become a new creation.
There's something quite refreshing about a light rain and wind on a warm day. It can go a bit too far though 😅
@markg99 ha, yes. Started out great though
Once I'm out there and it starts raining, I have to get back to my car. We're already wet anyway.
@@WVRunningDon Yeah. I'm still training by feel .... so a half hour was plenty.
God bless you, have a wonderful day brother 💕
@@laryssaestes4447 Thank you!
😊 👌🎶🎹💫
Agreed. Staying active in some way seems to be the key thing. As we approach those later years, I think what really matters is building and keeping up the habit of exercising, which gets more difficult and often less fun as we age, as well as maintaining the strength, balance, and aerobic capacity that we'll need to be able to do the things we enjoy doing later on.
@@largeeddie!
Excellent ❤
@@MrsMaryMAC thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Same here, if maybe not quite two miles. It makes me feel like I'm having a worse day than I really am, and the first mile is usually rough anyway.
