    Thank you so much for showing us and suggesting the wood blocks. For straightening and hardening and flattening. It is nice to still be able to achieve those results as a beginner. Without having to quite yet best as you said.

    Thank you for this tutorial. I haven’t made my own jump rings, but I will now! Are some metals stronger than others? Also, my jewelry pliers have become magnetized which make it really hard to handle findings. I was not successful demagnetizing them, so I guess I will need new pliers!

      You're very welcome! Yes, some metals are harder than others. Brass is harder than copper (including copper core craft wires) and sterling silver. In addition, most metal wire comes in hard, half-hard and dead soft hardness options which having their own advantages. Dead soft wire can me work hardened. My xuron priers became magnetized too! It just might be time to upgrade :o)
