Thats because it's not layered. The hidden hand does the sounds and the hand seen in the camera only mimics the movement. Now the scenes with both her hands shown are spliced into the video (which you can clearly see in 2:33)

The invisible sounds videos are made by imitating what your other hand is doing off camera and is how they look so accurately timed. When both hands are on screen you can see that one is translucent because it's an entirely different video layered together. I've seen some people say green items which is hilarious because it's not like greenscreen editing just makes them invisible and knows what is behind them lmao.

She sat there for 42 minutes, tapping absolutely nothing.
Then she went ahead and actually recorded for another 60 minutes (Syncing up the sounds perfectly takes time) the sounds needed to make this work.
    Mad lass I tell you.

It's actually simpler than you think. The hand shown in the screen only mimics the movement of her other hand that makes the sound off-camera. The scenes with both her hands shown are spliced together which you can clearly see in 2:33.

y’all are debating on how she did it so here’s how i think she did it: even tho there are videos with overlapping pre recorded sounds (like marno’s) i think in this particular video she’s doing the sounds with her other hand outside the camera view, that’s why when she ‘shows’ both of her hands they’re edited on top of each other :)

i think mystery material 6 is floral foam
3 is a book or silicone perhaps?
maybe silicone for 2 as well, a lot of these sound similar 😆 or rubber, and it also sounds like the soft part of a nail filing block?
    5 is probably something wooden
4, maybe a hard book cover...?
edit: i guessed some right! :D im SHOCKED the sponge isnt floral foam, but i guess they both have similar textures!
