Thanks for the video just did this to one of my DS4s. I checked the service manual, the correct torque is 20Nm or 14.7 ft/lbs and the allen key size is 6mm. Also, the recommended O2 grease is "Christo-Lube MCG 111". Cheers
Great tip. I have steel HP and aluminium LP tanks and instead of using the converter yoke which I don't care for, I just change between yoke and din. It really is quite simple as you demonstrated.
Thank you very much . Finally joined BSAC 49 on a crossover sports diver course . Loving it but need my own kit . XTX 50 on a dst is my choice and this may have just saved me a lot of money to put towards other gear.
Hey! Welcome to the club! Yeah, you won’t go wrong with that combo for sure. Glad you found the video useful. There is a comment below with details of the torque settings if you’re that way inclined. Hope you’ve subbed and liked as it really helps me out. 😎😎 Hopefully see you on a doe over winter or next season. Come say hi if you see me 👍👍
Hi Andy, thanks for the great video, particularly the part about using the ball to hold the spanner in place because mine was a pig to undo as well! Just one question - do you know if the black plastic part between the adapter and the body be tight between the two? I changed my DS4 stage reg and everything works great but this separator is very slightly loose.
Hey pal. Yeah, don’t worry about the plastic bit. It’s only a spacer / cover thing. Mine are all slightly loose to, so no fear there. Glad you found the video useful pal. How to see you out there at some point! Dive safe!!
Hi I have question about parts, I have Apeks DST in DIN and I'm not bigest fan of metal thumb screw that you use to screw first stage into tank, is it possible to replace apeks metal wheel with scubapro thumb screw that is rubber and much nicer to screw in. Thank you
If you can buy the conversion kit I don’t see why not. None of it is rocket science, it just depends on whether parts like this can be purchased by the public. Some companies will only sell parts to authorised technicians, thus controlling the market. Doing a quick google, it does look like you can get the conversion kit for that regulator here in 🇬🇧 Hope this helps 👍

Thanks for the info! I'll pin this so people can see the correct torque setting. Cheers buddy.
Another grease recomendations?, its hard to find CL 111 in some zones
