WAAKYE ANGWA MO RECIPE ✔️ *GHANA* NDUDU BY FAFA

  • Inspired by the Ghanaian ANGWA MO (where Rice is cooked in a spicy Coconut oil with salted Beef) and the Caribbean Rice and Peas) where Rice and Red Kidney Beans are cooked in Coconut milk, I present this ANGWA WAAKYE.
Waakye is a Ghanaian dish made from Rice, Beans and Millet leaves.
The Millet leaves gives the Waakye it’s distinctive deep indigo colour (however it has been omitted from this recipe).

This recipe can be enjoyed on its own as the Waakye is packed with natural flavours or with either my Beef, Chicken or Fish Stew.

Alright, just cooked this today and let me say: this is the first dish I’ve ever made that EVERYBODY in the house was heads down mouths full and groaning, right down to the lamb shank bones, which my English Bulldog big boy was actually laying down on his back fully into and is now sleeping with. Thank you so much for this, I plan to try at least one dish of yours a week!

In the Caribbean (Guyana) we make it the same way with a few other ingredients like cassareep etc but call it Cook-Up rice. I was thinking of making it and it showed up in my recommendations just in time! My husband is Ghanaian so I'll give him a little taste of this along with your caramel recipe!

I don't care for black eye peas but I will most certainly eat this just without the meat. I love the flavors you have added and the coconut milk topped it off!!!
