- Wim Helsen nodigt een muzikale gast uit op zijn Winteruur-zetel: singer-songwriter Tamino. Naar goede gewoonte in Winteruur brengt de gast zijn favoriete tekst mee. Voor Tamino is dat een stuk uit het boek ‘De Profeet’ van Kahlil Gibran. Hij heeft het over vreugde en verdriet, hoe onafscheidelijk die zijn en waarom hij vaak de vrolijke nummers op een album skipt.
Je vreugde is onthulde smart. En de bron waaruit je lach ontspringt, werd vaak gevuld met je tranen.
Hoe dieper de smart in je wezen kerft, hoe meer vreugde je kunt bevatten.
Wanneer je blij bent, schouw dan diep in je hart, en je zult zien dat enkel wat je smart gegeven heeft ook vreugde brengt. Wanneer je verdrietig bent, blik dan opnieuw in je hart en je zult zien dat je weent om wat je vreugde schonk.
Ze zijn onafscheidelijk. Wanneer de één met je aanzit aan je tafel, moet je bedenken dat de ander slaapt in je bed.

Tamino-Amir Moharam Fouad, die wij kennen onder de naam Tamino, is een Belgisch-Egyptische muzikant en zanger. Zijn carrière nam een vliegende start in 2016, toen hij door Het Zesde Metaal werd uitgenodigd om een Radio 1-sessie te spelen. Zijn eerste single, Habibi, werd meteen opgepikt. In 2017 won hij de wedstrijd De Nieuwe Lichting op Studio Brussel. Zo werd hij een vaste waarde in de Belgische muziekwereld.

If you don't understand dutch, I recommend to put the automatic translation in your language. Indeed, they wrote dutch subtitles which means that it will translate them (= complete and well written sentances in dutch) instead of random words. That's what I did (I'm french aha). I hope it will help you understand this amazing interview !! :)
As someone who's also quiet and really in touch with my emotions. Someone like Tamino helps me accept myself and reminds me that I do deserve to be myself!

@@marthe903 I am from Turkey. It's 20:24 here btw :) i speak a little german so dutch sounds similar but i can only guess the meaning of very basic sentences.
