Solution: make a hovering aircraft that uses spinning cutters on the inside, and use a mechanism for opening the trap. Put cutter on the contraption, and then get one inside the vehicle. They can't escape without having to reset. You can even camp them by latching onto their builds in build mode!
Tip: Use free aim guns as it can help you fight back against shredder bugs Tip2: fly are close as possible to the floating island propellers if a shredder bug is chasing you, lure them into hitting the propeller, this tip is mostly effective on fast and agile planes
You can also just build a giant death tank armed to the brim with rockets and cutters: make it as big as possible and make sure it can fly to fight air shredders. Because of the big size and pentagon funded weaponry won't stop em, the lag surely will. Bonus points if you add any and lots of moving parts to intentionally cause lag
i have a idea, blacklist the person using the shredder bugs and then camp in your plot... if the shredder bug has guns and tries to shoot you, they will probably stand still so you could also shoot at them i also have another idea (this is to help other people) get a big plane that isnt laggy, then make it really fast so it can outrun the shredder bug, what this does is it will distract the shredder bug to go for you because usually people who use shredder bugs go for the juiciest target
or make other bug for bug the shredder bugs (Half piston with Lock and one suspension with all max is good) (makes the person teleport to random places, and does not need to use the piston, the piston server only to stop the suspension)
Basiclly i have great idea to trick make dummy vehicle so we duplicate 1 vehicle and abadon it somewhere and you go with yoyr vehicle away from the shredder bugs so its very effective to trick shredder bug
Best solution is to fight cutter with cutter, identify the part of your plane that is hit the most (in my case would be the wing) and slap a few cutters on it. That way, they also get hurt when they hit you and their lack of armour should mean they drop right out of the sky (assuming they hit at the correct angle)
im using shreders (5 at same time lol (not for killing people without reason)) hiding spots not the best solution, you can make a basik terret with motors and do a tnt bunker and anchor it(so shreder can't kick you out of map), things with lava pits good but not the best(most of shreders(or its just me) have guns, rockets and lava spitter) about underwater... its not the best way to escape shreders, i think one of the best solution its a nuke 0:59 or just get your best weapon and shoot at it when it spawning at the plot

Actually I was being hit by a shredder bug by a bacon yesterday, my plane was the Stuka dive bomber. I have 1 super rocket and I did some tactics so that I can avoid him 1. Tactic : Rolling to dive and pull up 2. Tactic : Stall and recover 3. Tactic : Pull up, roll and dive
tip: if theres an army of shredder (no guns and rockets) behind u and u are flying a mini jet that can go 600 sps then try to go towards the army and shoot it with rockets, fireworks and some lava spitters and target the main shredder. the pilot is usually in the middle of the army cos they're scared that they might get targeted and die and has to respawn
Quick tip: use a truck, go backwards as fast as you can, make the shredder chase you and aim at him. Once you think he wont dodge the attack, fire your missiles

I am a deadly lone shredder bug player, and seeing as some facts are false, I'll point it out for you so you don't die because of a useless tip 0:09 shredder bugs can be modified for any situation, but I have not seen a shredder bug that can enter water yet, it can even be risky for them to attack some boats on the water 0:26 shredder bugs are not massive, they can go in tight areas, these hiding spots won't help in most situations 0:40 once they realize what you're doing, they will avoid you at all costs, but in that case, mission accomplished 1:15 this is a bad tip, I've went under the map many many times as a shredder bug, nothing ever happens to me 1:31 they are not stupid, they will avoid the lava pit 2:14 making yourself big will attract shredder bugs, and some can be really smart about how to attack you, however, how effective this tip is is based on your level of skill my tip: make yourself super fast, shredder bugs can be really fast too, but have a limit. If you are too fast for them, they’ll have trouble catching you can't do anything about you Update: I’ve since strayed away from using shredder bugs. I still have them saved, but have instead using giant swords in place of them. I made an APS system by covering my builds in tnt and then shredders to launch shredders off, only works in private servers though, plus it’s one time use
I've made shredders that counter all of that and more... I literally have a shredder that can go 1k speed and then do a complete 180° turn on a dime and change its directional momentum like it was already going that way. So in short, there is no maneuvering away from me. And that's just my fast shredder... I also have a flail shredder that acts more like a chinsaw, absolutely ripping right through everything it gets wrapped around (regardless of how much glitch layering you do). Then there's my super beefy shredder that has all glass blocks painted white, so you can barely see it when it's in the sky, it's made so that i can do massive bullet rain passes while also making players think that they'vedone barelyany damage...
A way to kill shredders is a big cube made out of cutters and a tnt frame, I put wheels and drive it across the spawn, when a shredder tries to dig into the cube they'll get disassembled and respawn, using blacklist for advantage to immediately kill the cube will only make make it harder because shredders will immediately die once they attempt to get deeper into the cube.
numbers 6: dont use large planes instead use small planes like 3 blocks wide and not very long, has good maneuverability, can go atleast 280 or 270, and remember to not go in a straight OH MY GOD DONT GO IN A STRAIGHT LINE instead go up and down and left to right and dont let the shredder get too close (this may not work for most people but it works for me)
And yes I do own a literal lava shredder that dose extreme burn/shredding damage to an opponent while also being able to go under water and having a max speed of 1,500. but the only time I use it is if someone is getting bullied in pvp. And trust me if you able to see me in action it practically shreds the thing in like 1.5 sec with no problem or difficulty while also all the parts are just burned down to a lump of charcoal crisp

i actualy designed a very efective anti-shredder armor that lets my planes have about ten seconds of survivable contact, but this tech cn not be implemented on wings, so i use active stabilising fetures, so i can fly with one wing almost completely dead.

Boxness, there is another way to beat them. I use this all the time! Alright, so if you flip while being chased by a shredder, they will go in front of you. This gives a big advantage :-) if you are very slow, unfortunately this wont work for you. (You AT LEAST need speed 150 for this to work. Above 150 is great too ^^)
